Is it possible to rip my butthole when I poop?

Question 1
Is it possible to rip my butthole when I poop?…  I squeezed a really thick poop out recently and it stretched me open so wide that I think something ripped. What should I do? I’m embarrassed to go to the doctor and there is blood in my undies.

Answers
1)   Keep it clean; it will heal in time. – Been There, Done That

2)   Yes. It is called an anal fissure. It can heal itself, just be careful when cleaning and eating right. Sometimes, they do not heal and surgery is recommened, but don’t concern yourself with that right now. – All things good

3)   yes…doctor isn’t going to do much unless you’ve got a major tear though. If you’re bleeding a lot you should have it checked out. If it’s not drink a lot of what, maybe some laxative for a while and you should be back to normal pretty soon. – D

4)   yes, i have that and if u drink a bottle of vitamin water once a day it actually helps it. – Al

Question 2
this is important. how long will it take for a blister on my foot to heal?…  it’s causing me pain to walk and it is just below my toes. I have a prom next thursday so cant afford to have a blister with the heels I have. I don’t particularly want to pop it.

Answers
1)   I’d say a week from now it will be healed enough to the point where it doesn’t hurt to walk. Try your best to not walk on it during that time, though. – Andrew

2)   go to the doctor but blisters can take ages. sometimes up to six weeks

3)   About 3-4 days to clear properly. Don’t pop it and put a proper Blister Plaster on it. That has a cushioned gel centre and you will notice a more comfortable difference immediately. Don’t wear whatever caused the problem for at least a week after it has healed (the skin will be very thin).

If the blister becomes swollen, reddened, painful or hasn’t healed in one week, you need to get medical help. – world and all its’ contents

4)   A blister isn’t gonna kill you so i wouldn’t call it ‘important’. The best way would be to pop it but there is cream you can buy to help. – Mr Sexy Soulpatch Man

Question 3
what would cause pain in my back to make me lose total strength in my legs?…  When I stand for more than 10 minutes or walk 100 feet I get a severe pain in my lower back and then I lose total muscle strength in my legs. What is causing this to happen and can it be cured?

Answers
1)   You should see an orthopedist (preferably one who specializes in spinal medicine) ASAP. It could be due to disc herniation, stenosis, nerve impingement, etc. These things are treatable, especially if caught early. Good luck. – ExeneC

2)   This also could be any thing from a pinched nerve to a bulging disk. You need to see a Dr quickly before there is more damage done. – susan

3)   Pain in your back is caused by pinched muscles there. When they are pinched in your lower back they end up pressing on the nerves going to your legs and you are getting enough pressure on those nerves to make your legs give out on you, they are losing the feelings in them, like making a nerve go to sleep, it won’t be able to function properly. Once you release the muscles in your back those pains should be gone and the feeling in your legs restored. Here’s how to release the muscles in your back to get rid of these problems:

Back:

(do from a sitting position)

Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B

Question 4
Could I be dehydrated?…  So yesterday I had a productive but painful gymnastics practice; I had fallen asleep around midnight and practice started at 9. I think that no matter how late I sleep in, I feel tired if I miss my midnight sleep. Of course, my coach picked that day to give us really hard conditioning- almost twice as many of some things!! For example, we usually do only 20-30 roll back jump ups, but we had to do 40 yesterday! And we usually only 10 ten leg lifts, but today we had to do two sets of 10. I realize this is probably commonplace at a lot of gyms but it was more then I was used to and I was already tired.

I felt nauseous at the end and when I got home I was REALLY thirsty even after I drank a lot of water. Then later I got a pounding headache, and during the night I had what I like to call an "obsessive dream" which I tend to have when sick. Basically, I dream about a topic and wake up every few hours, and obsess and obsess about the topic (I can’t stop thinking about it), even when I’m awake, and I often talk to people in my mind. Last night it was college admissions, even though I’m only in 8th grade o_O

Today I keep having to get a glass of water otherwise my mouth will get dry. I also keep getting headaches and I feel really crappy- my neck is sore and I get really tired just going up stairs… What do you think?

Thanks!

Answers
1)   You could be. It also sounds like Mono.

Most of the population is at least a liter or so dehydrated. It is hard to get rehydrated by drinking water because you can only drink so much.

I would suggest going to the doctor and getting an IV. They will test your urine and see if you are in fact dehydrated. I would also tell them about your lack of energy. A lot of people don’t know they have mono. I didn’t. And you don’t have to be kissing to get it.

So talk to your parents and go to the doctor. – idahobinky

2)   When you’re dehydrated, you should drink water slowly so your body won’t overreact. I fainted at school suddenly but the docters said I was dehydrated. You should always drink water even if you’re not thirsty to stay hydrated. – Bryan

3)   it could be dibeates too if you thirsty alot – Hailey!

Question 5
What Are Shin Splints? And How Do You Get Rid Of Them.?…
I think i may have gotten them from coming down to hard on my take off foot in long jump and triple jumpe. I’m also a 100m sprinter for my high school, and a long and triple jumper. I also play soccer, so if that has anything to do with it?

Answers
1)   an absolutely terrible pain in the ass ironically found in the shin region with no cure that will never go away until you stop running . they suck. – Brandon S

2)   The term "shin splints" refers to pain along the shinbone (tibia) — the large bone in the front of your lower leg.Shin splints are caused by an overload on the shinbone and the connective tissues that attach your muscles to the bone.

In most cases, you can treat shin splints with simple self-care steps:

Rest. Avoid activities that cause pain, swelling or discomfort — but don’t give up all physical activity. While you’re healing, try low-impact exercises, such as swimming, bicycling or water running. If your shin pain causes you to limp, consider using crutches until you can walk normally without pain.

Ice the affected area. Apply ice packs to the affected shin for 15 to 20 minutes at a time, four to eight times a day for several days. To protect your skin, wrap the ice packs in a thin towel.

Reduce swelling. Elevate the affected shin above the level of your heart, especially at night. It may also help to compress the area with an elastic bandage or compression sleeve. Loosen the wrap if the pain increases, the area becomes numb or swelling occurs below the wrapped area.

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever. Try ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Aleve), aspirin or acetaminophen (Tylenol, others) to reduce pain.

Wear proper shoes. Your doctor may recommend a shoe that’s especially suited for your foot type, your stride and your particular sport.

Consider arch supports. Arch supports can help cushion and disperse stress on your shinbones. Off-the-shelf arch supports come in various sizes and can be fitted immediately. More durable arch supports can be custom-made from a plaster cast of your foot.

It’s also important to resume your usual activities gradually. If your shin isn’t completely healed, returning to your usual activities may only cause continued pain.

Prevention

To prevent shin splints:

Choose the right shoes. Wear footwear that suits your sport. If you’re a runner, replace your shoes about every 350 to 500 miles.

Consider arch supports. Arch supports can help prevent the pain of shin splints, especially if you have flat arches.

Lessen the impact. Cross-train with a sport that places less impact on your shins, such as swimming, walking or biking. Remember to start new activities slowly. Increase time and intensity gradually.

Add strength training to your workout. To strengthen your shins, try toe raises. Stand up. Slowly rise up on your toes, then slowly lower your heels to the floor. Repeat 10 times. When this becomes easy, do the exercise holding progressively heavier weights. Leg presses and other exercises for your lower legs can be helpful, too.

It’s also important to know when to rest; at the first sign of shin pain, take a break – Nicole C

Boys, girls, weight and depression

Healthy-weight girls who think they are fat are more likely to be depressed than fatter girls who realise they are overweight. Researchers from Penn State University studied 12,683 adolescents taking part in the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health. The children were asked about their actual weight, whether they thought they were over-, under- or the right weight and their levels of depression were assessed. 80% of the girls were overweight knew they were too fat whereas 40% of the overweight boys thought that they were at a healthy weight. The girls who thought they were overweight but were actually at a healthy weight were more depressed than girls who were overweight and knew they were. Boys who were actually underweight were more likely to be depressed than boys who were heavier with the researchers describing them as ‘extremely distressed.’

Dopamine and decisions

Striking a balance between short-term goals – going out for a meal with friends or buying a new book – and long-term objectives like saving up for a house or a holiday can be tricky. Researchers at University College London have been investigating the role of dopamine in these thought processes and have found that too much of the chemical – which is found naturally and plays a part in transmitting signals in the brain – might make you more likely to take the short-term option. The researchers studied 14 healthy participants asking them to make a choice between a small reward now or a larger one later. They were asked to make the decision after being given a drug called L-dopa, which boosts dopamine, a placebo and a drug called haloperidol which suppresses dopamine. After taking the L-dopa the participants were more likely to take the short-term option although there was little difference between their decisions after taking the placebo or after taking haloperidol. The participants also had brain scans while they took the tests. The L-dopa increased activity in the striatum and prefrontal cortex and the more susceptible people were to the influence of the L-dopa the more activity they showed in their amygdalas.

Shin splints:

Right leg. Place your right leg on your lap and place both hands side by side on the lower leg, slightly above the ball of your foot. Press in next to the bone with all fingers and tightly hold the pressure there. Relax the rest of your body. After 30 seconds, slowly extend your toes down as far as they go, release the pressure, but continue holding the toes extended for another 30 seconds. Then reverse everything and do the other leg.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B

3)   You need to stretch some muscles. Most any yoga for back pain book or video will be a great start.

Sciatica nerve pain can be felt from the waist area & run down the length of the leg.

A chiropractor adjustment will help unpinch any nerves.

Sitting for long times shortens the achilles tendon which pulls on the lower back muscles when your leg is extended to stand up. When your back is well enough, strengthening exercises will help keep the spine aligned. Trigger point or acupressure massage will help. Source.. Answers
1)   It’s probably just sore, and not broken. You’d be in excruciating pain if your tailbone was broken. – Noel

2)   if you broke your tailbone you would be crying and not walking right now, sit in a nice hot bath then lay on a heating pad and take some pain meds if it does not go away in the next week go to the doctor or ER and tell them they will probably take a x-ray – Dustin

3)   First off you should report that idiot so when and if you go to the hospital he pays that bill not you. Tell your mom to take you to the hospital to get it looked out. Make sure you keep all papers so you can charge that idiot. Its one thing pulling a prank, its another when you injure someone. – TrueGreatness

4)   You probably did break your tailbone. You have to seek medical attention immediately. Get an x-ray and sue the person that hurt you. Make sure to document the accident today and have the principal sign it. You should not have to pay for someone else hurting you on purpose. Do the documentation before you go to the hospital. – peanut

5)   Well you wouldn’t even be able to sit down if you tail bone was broken :)

If you’re that worried, get an X-Ray. I’m sure it’s fine :) I hurt myself alot because I’m so clumsy. It just hurts at the moment but I don’t think you’ve broken anything. Like I said before, if you’re that worried then get it checked out.

Hope you get better soon

Question 5
should i get an x ray on my back? help please?…  I’m 19 years old 117 pounds. Since December I’ve had this problem… while i am asleep, my right arm goes to sleep. This only happens while I am sleeping, and sometimes my fingers go numb too. Doctors think it is the way my neck is positioned while I am sleeping. It only occurs when I am asleep though. All other times of the day, nothing goes to sleep. It’s a heavy arm feeling in my right arm/fingers. Left arm on occasion.

Lately I’ve been having a little neck and back pain that comes and goes.

What could this be? And should I get the X ray of my cervical spine? Could it be something serious? Doctors don’t seem to concerned.

Help.

Thank you

Answers
1)   Can’t get an xray without a docs order anyway, if the doc doesn’t think one needs ordered then you won’t be having one. – gazeygoo

2)   I would say listen to your doctor, they are the ones who went to medical school. Anyone with an internet connection could answer you here, but they won’t have the same qualifications as your doctor. – Vicky S

3)   You probably have some kind of nerve impingement in your c-spine that is causing this. It’s nothing major, and can easily be fixed by physical therapy or chiropractic care. I’d have the x-ray just to be safe, though. – Carrie Henry

4)   Go to your doctor and ask for an x-ray consult! – Maxsim Maximus

5)   Go and see your doctor again, and tell him your current problems.

If he says that you’ve already been checked out, tell him you want checking out again. Tell him also that you would like an XRay.

If he refuses, ask him "What happens now then? "

Whatever he replies, don’t accept it, unless it’s what YOU want.

He is not concerned, because it’s your neck, and not his.

Don’t let him put you off, keep on asking "What happens next"

If he still refuses to budge, say to him " Are you categorically telling me that you are going to do nothing about my illness?"

That will probably scare him into doing something.

Don’t think you can get a second opinion, you can’t. Second opinions are only available if your doctor agrees, and it will probably be a Specialists opinion, not another doctor.

Your doctor is the ONLY person you can see when anything is wrong with you, make the most of it. – Jacko

Quick Mosquito bite relief?

Question 1
Quick Mosquito bite relief?…  I live in NJ and I recently went out to Pennsylvania for the weekend. I got some mosquito bites on my legs and ankles which, despite the use of benidrill, have grown in size and become swollen to the point where i can’t rotate my ankle to walk. I’ve been trying to get to sleep since 9, I usually don’t have a problem getting to sleep, but its 1 am and i can’t get to sleep because of the pain. I’ve tried the ice, benydrill, heat, cream, and simply ignoring the pain, and nothing is working. Any good advice will be greatly appreciated.

Question 2
I HAVE A CONCERT IN 7 DAYS AND I HAVE A TERRIBLE COLD!!!!!! ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO GET RID OF IT?????? HEEELLLPPP?…  ITS MY BESTFRIENDS BIRTHDAY ON JULY 5TH AND WE ARE GOING TO HER FIRST CONCERT EVERR AND A REALLYYYY DONT WANT TO HAVE THIS COLD! PLEASE HELP????

Answers
1)   If its a cold, you should be over it in 7 days…. get lots of rest, drink fluids, wash your hands a lot to keep from sharing the cold. Be careful of cold remedies you buy in the store, use exactly as directed on the package. – Debi

2)   Colds usually last around 8-9 days. To treat your cold quicker, I suggest you do these things:

1. Drink chicken noodle soup!

Chicken contains a natural amino acid called cysteine. cysteine can thin the mucus in the lungs and make it less sticky so it you can be expel it more easily. Campbell’s soup won’t work as well as the homemade version. Make the soup hot and spicy with plenty of pepper. The spices will trigger a sudden release of watery fluids in the mouth, throat, and lungs. This will help thin down the respiratory mucus, so it’s easier to cough up and expel.

2. Rest.

It is important to rest and take it easy throughout the time you are ill. The time you are ill may be longer if you do not allow yourself to recuperate and recover completely. If you exercise regularly, you needn’t stop. However, you should definitely cut back on the intensity until you feel better.

3.Drink plenty of fluids.

Water is the best. Try to drink at least eight to ten glasses a day. This will help the stuffiness and help the secretions loosen. Avoid using tap water, use bottled or filtered water to limit your exposure to chlorine. You can put lemon juice in your water or also try green tea as a water alternative

4. Eat vitamin C

You can take 500-2,000 mg every 1-2 hours. The only side effect you may have are loose stools at higher doses. If this happens decreasing the dose will quickly clear up the symptoms. – Cassie

3)   Take an Airborne tablet. They are expensive, but they work! – hhh

Is my arm broken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????!??!?

Question 1
Is my arm broken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????!??!?…  I was playing soccer last night at around 10:30 ET. I dove for a ball and hit my arm, right below my elbow, off a root. I can’t really tell if it is swollen. It hurt a when I move it, but the pain isn’t unbearable. There is no bruising either. When I squeeze something with my pinkie and thumb only, it hurts.

Answers
1)   probably not, the pain is pretty unbearable, and I think you would have more swelling. Doctor? – Heidi

2)   It is always best to check with a physician to ensure no damage was taken by your arm. If there’s no severe pain, but specifically sharp pain in some areas, there might be hair-line fractures in your bones.

Again, check with your doctor. – Winged Genius

3)   No-one can realy tell except a doctor so that would be the best choice. Better safe than sorry – Fiesta Box

4)   That’s what happends when children watch the FIFA World Cup and think they’re Ronaldinho. – Neowiz

5)   probably not. If you can move its probably not broken. Go see a doctor to be safe though. No one on yahoo answers is going to be able to provide you with an accurate answer. – mystery

6)   I don’t work in the ortho. side of things, but if the pain is consistent (when you squeeze something with the pinkie and thumb only) then I would think something was damaged. Perhaps not a broken bone though, sounds more like a strain or tendon issue.

Either way, whether I am right or wrong, the end result/answer is: It is time to see a professional.

Go to your doctor, if they can not see you today or tomorrow, go to the ER. – Michael Z

Question 2
I think I broke my shoulder…?…  Okay, so I broke my wrist like a month and a half ago. I got out of the cast about 2-3 weeks ago. After the dr said i could play sports again, I did. I was playing basketball with my brother. he’s almost 2 years younger than me but he does not like losing. the score was 5-8 and i won. First he tackled me. it didn’t hurt that bad, he only hurt my arm a little bit but not bad. then he realized i wasn’t that hurt so he pushed me against our swing set. my shoulder got lodged between two pieces of wood and i couldn’t get it out. he knew i couldn’t get it out so he sat on it. there was a really, really loud snap/crack sound. it hurt really bad. i eventually got my shoulder out. i couldn’t move it but it looked bruised, swelled up and red. i’ve had to do everything with one arm because my shoulder hurts so bad. ex. i have to pick everything up with one arm, type with one hand (like i am know), and i can’t play sports or anything. help?!?

1)   That sounds really painful! Go to the ER or Doctors immediately! for now ice it and maybe put a sling on – Gab

There are so many things that can be wrong ie; torn rotater cup, broken collar bone, it could be out of socket…… – magikal

3)   The only way anyone can tell if a bone is broken is with an x-ray, and that can only happen if you go to the doctor. Im not getting the 8 hours of rest im suposed to get are there any reason why that could be? i do live in alaska and the sun is out 24 hours during the summer but could there be other reasons?

Answers
1)   i have a similar problem. ive been waking up really early, but im guessing it’s because i’m used to waking up early 5 days a week for school.

as far as the sun though, try wearing a sleeping mask. i’ve been using one and i find i’ve been sleeping longer =) – Lauren=]

2)   try running some time during the morning/day for half an hour to an hour. don’t exercise or eat 3 hours before bed. – Michael Malone

3)   Your body is always on its own Clock.

Do you feel tired or anything??

Cause if you feel fine then that is the amount of sleep your body wants, but if your waking up woozy, i would try and go to sleep a little earlier :)Mac

4)   Not every body needs 8 hours of sleep. If you wake up by yourself feeling rested, that’s all the sleep your body needs. There are people that need 8-10 hours of sleep, and others under 6 hours. Question 4
im thirteen and im getting my tonsils , will it be sore ?…  im thirteen years old and im getting my tonsils removed next week , because i am still quite young will it be less painful ? just tell me the truth so i know what im getting myself in for please :) thanks x

Answers
1)   It will be sore for a couple of weeks nothing to worry about :) x – LunaWolfx

2)   I had my tonsils out at age nine. Yes, it is very sore but you will get over it. Eat ice-cream and ice-lollies. – Buddha

3)   You will be a little sore, but worth it. Follow the Dr.’s orders, popsicles and water. Don’t try to talk too soon. – OBXMAR

4)   If you think it’s less painful, you’re in for a shocker. You can’t talk for a week and cant eat solid foods for a month. The possibility of secondary infections is 7.5%, with 2.25% of these cases being fatal.

With no tonsils, expect many oral-cavity infections like candidosis and gingivitis, and possibly even post-pediatric diphtheria. – Duke

5)   I was a little younger when I had mine removed and to be honest with you, it’s not as scary as you may think.

I went into the hospital very nervous, then when I went in for the operation they were very kind to me and told me the basics. Then they used the mask to help me sleep (smells nice lol) and that was it until I woke up back on a ward. The only thing you’ll feel is nothing more than a sore throat, maybe a little stronger than usual and they won’t let you eat for a while. After the sore throat subsides and you’ve eaten, that’s it. :) Hope this has eased your worry. – Dan

Question 5
can i let stitches just wear out?…  i received six stitches on my forehead, do i have to go to a dr to get them removed

Answers
1)   You need to check with the doctor what kind of stitches were used. There are stitches that dissolve after certain time and others have to be removed. – Ms know it all

2)   You will probably have to get them out. If you can see the stitching they will have to cut and remove them. If you were not under general anesthesia for surgery you probably have non dissolving stitches. – Scott

3)   You can’t just wait for them to ‘wear out’. I’d advise you to go to a doctor and get them removed. Your skin will heal a little more after the stitches are removed. I had 19 stitched on my foot and I went to the doctor who cut them out stitch by stitch and removed them gently himself. Since your stitched are on your face, you wouldn’t want anything to go horribly wrong so just be on the safe side and get a doctor to remove them. – PolkaDot

My side hurts like crazy!?

Question 1
My side hurts like crazy!?…  Preferably doctor or nurses answer, please!!

Okay, well around noon of today my side has killed me! Its right below my belly button, to the right. It hurts sitting, laying down and it really hurts when I’m walking. Is there anything i can do to make it go away? Besides taking medicine?

Thanks for your help!
3 of my cousins, and my dad have had their appendics taken out, so-could my appendics possibly be causin the problem?

Answers
1)   Can you go to the Emergency Room? – crazyskyblue

2)   Thats the side you appendics is on, If it continues you get a fever or vomiting get it checked out – cin_ann_43

3)   That sounds like your appendics, Go to the hospital, or your local doctor, this could be very serious, and is worth getting checked out. Good Luck! – Kinalis

4)   When was your last normal period? You may have a condition called Mittelschmerz, or middle pain, which sometimes occurs with ovulation. It can be mild, or cripplingly bad. Other option, is appendicitis, pain generally is mild at first, around the belly button area, and gradually locating to the lower right quadrant of the belly. Loss of appetite, nausea or even vomiting are common. Either way, you need to see a health care provider because of the risk of appendicitis. If left untreated, it will burst and cause a major infection. Not fun. Better to go and find you didn’t have it, than to delay and end up even sicker. ER time! – deborah

Question 2
I am a 15 year old girl and I am really paranoid when i go to sleep that my heart is beating too slow?…  I took a few tests online to check my heart rate and it was around 48, I am a very active person so I read that that can effect the BPM as well. I just get really scared to go to sleep because I don’t want my heart to stop beating. Am I just paranoid or should i be concerned?

Answers
1)   no not really you heart rate slows down when you rest your whole body relaxes – Britney

2)   its probably all in your head because i sometimes think the same thing just dont overreact because that could stress you out and your body out as well so if i was you just dont think about it and just kick back watch a funny tv show and eat some ice cream lol – Taylor Curtis

3)   You have nothing to worry about. That is a good resting heart rate. It sounds though like you have a mild form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The fact that you obsess over your heart stopping as you sleep may be an indicator of such.

Don’t worry though! You’re fine – cruise20

4)   I doubt that your heart will stop while you are asleep in the absence of any other conditions. Normal heart rate runs 60-100 BPM. Athletes, particularly runners, long distance skiers, etc. may run heart rates in the 40’s and be fine. If you are this concerned, see a health care provider who can accurately gauge your heart rate, listen for any abnormalities, and hopefully set you mind at ease. Good Luck. – deborah

My ear is really hurting and i woke up and there was blood on my pillow.?…  I woke up and there was blood on my pillow. my mom says its and ear infection but the ones i normally have had didnt bleed and hurt this bad. It hurts like crap and im trying to find something to ease the pain. P.S. this is my first question asked! :)

Answers
1)   Definitely see a doctor, and they will probably give you some drops to put in it. It should clear up after that. – Spiderman

2)   Sounds like a middle ear infection that finally ruptured yor eardrum. After the rupture, the pain generally subsides, but maybe it sort of resealed with drainage, and the pressure is building again. Contact your health care provider. You will need antibiotocs and possibly eardrops. If your eardrum is ruptured, pcik up on some silly putty on the way home. Use it for ear plugs when you are showering, no swimming for 6-8 weeks until the eardrum heals. Good Luck. – deborah

Question 4
Lower right stomach pain?…  Ahhh…

Yesterday as I was getting out of my car…I had this sudden really sharp pain in my lower right side.

It went away as soon as I got back into my car…It scared me…

And still does scare me!

Before it happened(for the past…week or so before)…I wasnt wanting to eat as much…I was more thirsty than anything.

And since its happened Im actually hungry…

Also since it has happened Ive had smaller sharp pains sometimes and my stomach likes to make lots of sounds after I eat now…

I first thought my appendix.

But my dad thought maybe…"Caught gas" or something.

I dunno…I hate doctors but if this gets worse Im going for sure.

Just wanted to get some info…Im scared.

Answers
1)   As you were bending to get out of your car you pinched a muscle in your back and that is what caused the pain to shoot the way it did. When you tried to straighten up it pinched even more and that is what scared you. You can release your back muscles to get rid of the pain by doing this:

– Douglas B

3)   You just need to reset your clock. Develop a routine before bed-a bath, chamomile tea, meditation or quiet reading (no murder mysteries or politics!). Do nothing in bed but sleep. If you can;t fall asleep, get up and do something until you feel ready to try again. No naps. No caffeine or tea after about 3pm (or at all would be even better.) Keep your room very dark-not radio clock, no computer screen no nightlights, no outside lights. Also your room needs to be coo. Ideally about 68 degrees, but in summer that is hard to come by. Comfortable sleep clothes- no binding, no pulling, cool. Maybe run a small fan to make white noise to block out any other sound. If non of this works, see a health care provider, who may be willing to give you something to help you sleep for a few nights until you reboot. Good Luck. – deborah

Question 4
Something in my eye but it comes and goes. Severe pain, Just want my eyeball out right now helllppp!!?…  At first it felt like something got in my left eye. The pain was severeee at first. I flushed it with water & tried eye drops but it still hurt. It went away for about 30 minutes then all of the sudden it started again. Now for about 24 hours, it has come & gone. It feels like a big chunk of something is stuck behind my eye ball. My eyes start to water uncontrollably and my left nostril gets stopped up. I’ve never had allergies before. This is ridiculously annoying. I can’t sleep or anything. I just want to go have my eye ball taken out!! That’s how bad it is right now. Why does it come and go? Is something really stuck in my eye? 2)   sounds like you scratched the surface of the eyeball, hurts a lot. Only way to know is go an optometrist or eye doctor.

sorry, but call around and go today. – roughedges

3)   Do you have a headache to go with this or any other head pains? I’ve had pain on what felt like the back of my eyeball because of headaches. The muscles for your neck go all the way to the top of your head and when they get tight they can press on the nerves of your eyes as they pass by on their way to the eye center at the back of your head. Once you release the muscles in your neck they won’t be pressing into those nerves anymore and the pain should be gone. Here’s how to release those muscles in your neck:

Neck

Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your head. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. After 45 seconds, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.

With your neck in the lowered position, replace your thumbs in under the ears and your fingers behind your head but right next to your skull this time. Press your fingers and thumbs together again and hold. Relax your body while waiting. When the muscles have all released, slowly lift your head until it’s level again, release the pressure but hold your head like that for another 30 seconds.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B
