Question 1
did anyone ever have lice even though they werent really TOO itchy? like just a little itch sometimes?… cause i saw this black longish bug walking around on my bed sheet!! and i also saw this white roundish thing. but it looked just like a baby white bed bug! i think…i smashed it before i was avle to examine it. but it was fast! but for the black one it was kinda slower.
Answers
1) i think you r stoned – ninja kangaroo
2) NO! If ur not itching all day, u probably dont have lice. Wash ur hair. – Abby Sage
3) Lice are all over your head, not your bed – Sam
4) lice aren’t white or black. they are a light brownish color – you’re safe (they’re also incredibly small, hard to see, and so fast, they wouldn’t be walking around on your bed) – shizzle
5) when you have lice it doesn’t always itch like crazy however what you hat doesn’t sound like lice at all. 0.o Lice are tiny, light brown (never black and not different colours) and move around slowly (after looking at other comments: washing hair doesn’t work).
Bed Bugs? – Halflight17
6) OMG! Lice are pretty small and if you did have it, it would stay on your hair. What that bug might be is a bed bug. Those are the worst, you can infect every bed in your house if you don’t take care of it. Those will bite you at night and give you giant marks all over your body. Have you had any recently? If you have, please call an exterminator right away and wash all your clothes. I had those once and I thought I was allergic to something I ate, but it turns out those were bite marks all over my skin.
Something else it might be is just a little bug who came into your room through the window or something. It’s summer and there are a lot of bugs. If you feel itchy, definitely call the exterminator.
If your head is itchy a lot, get someone to check all over your head for lice. If you do, then just buy that lice killing shampoo and wash it. Then rewash in about 2 weeks just to make sure it’s all gone.
Sometimes, you feel itchy because you are talking or thinking about lice, and that’s just your mind playing tricks on you, but if you feel itchy all the time, then you probably have something. – .

Question 2
Is puffing cigars okay for your lungs?… I was talking to my friend last night after another one of my friends went out for a smoke and he said to never smoke cigarettes. He said if I ever had to smoke anything he said to puff on cigars because you don’t inhale the smoke. He said he always smokes cigars and that they’re not addictive or really bad for you. I’ve never smoked much of anything so I’m not sure if this is true. Is it?

i dont want to go to a doctor or tell anyone because i done it to myself and also i dont want anyone to see cuts on my arm. what can i put on it to treat the infection?? please help
Answers
1) You need to go to a doctor. Period! Don’t wait. – Ace Librarian
2) You need to let someone know that you are being self-destructive. This is a mental issue that needs to be addressed. Burns can be serious if they get infected. SEE A DOCTOR! – Melissa
3) Aloe vera is my number one recommendation, soothes burns and heals like no other. However, I do suggest you see a doctor, I rather be judged than lose an arm due to a preventable infection.
Good luck and I hope it heals quickly. – S
4) Um..I use peroxide on cuts..but if it’s starting to smell…and from the rest of your description…I think it may be beyond home remedies…it sounds REALLY infected. You are probably going to have to go to the hospital….or possibly risk losing your arm. And since you admit that you injure yourself, you will probably be having to talk to some psychiatrist. It is not healthy…..as evidenced by your current predicament. You are probably going to have to swallow your pride and just get professional medical help….who knows it may be good for you in more ways than one. – JLW

Question 4
Does anyone have experience with knee injuries?… Hi everyone. I am asking this question because I just hurt my knee the other night. I won’t be able to see a specialist atleastr until Monday morning. Oh, and I have no insurance…sweet!!!! O.k, I went to the e.r. and was told I would need an mri, but was released with a brace, crutches and a pain script. I have never hurt my knees bad, but this feels like there is something really wrong. When it first happened I was a little drunk and was working on adrenoline, so I still tried to run on it and I almost fell on my face. It was wierd, it felt like my kneecap was just drooping down to my shinn. Every time I took a step I felt this strange feeling. It has been pretty swallen since. I feel the most pain right above my kneecap when my leg bends just the slightest. The pain is an excruciating burning….and I mean burning like I have never felt in my life. The rest of my knee is sore, but there is deff. something wrong with the top of my knee cap. The few times I accidentaly bent my knee it felt like something coming apart, along with the intense burning. A disgusting feeling. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Does anyone know what this may be? Any info would be appreciated, thanks!
Answers
1) You may have just dislocated your kneecap, or you may have a torn ligament. Ice it. Stay the H3ll off of it. Sux, but the only way to fix it is to go to a specialist. If you don’t, count on not walking for quite a long time. – Craig Herin
2) I ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in my left knee many years ago. There was a little swelling, but not much and the pain was moderate, relieved by aspirin. It also felt like I was standing on a wobbly chair when I put my weight on it.
The ACL basically holds your shin bone back from popping forward. A good orthopod will be able to diagnose this upon examination only and an MRI shouldn’t be necessary. (A great deal of today’s rising medical costs is over-reliance on expensive tests like MRIs, which cost around $1500 last I heard.) All an MRI will do for the orthopod will be show what he’ll see when he opens it up, which is really the only option for repair if that’s what’s wrong.
On the positive side, limiting your activities (i.e. no sports that require heavy use of the knee with sudden cutting and stopping motions) and strengthening the supporting musculature will allow you to lead a relatively normal life with few future problems. Don’t just self treat without seeing an orthopod first, though! Without proper diagnosis and treatment, your knee could totally lock up!
It’s impossible to diagnose your condition in this forum. Without an exam and a better description of what you were doing at the time of injury, there’s many other things that could be wrong, such as cartilage damage or other ligament injury. – Larry
3) The muscle for your kneecap reacted to the pain to your knee by tightening up it’s tendon, it’s reaction to pain, and now the kneecap is pulled up on and into your knee making it hard and painful to bend and/or straighten your knee. You have to release the muscle for your kneecap to get it to drop back to where it belongs so it can track without pain. Here’s how to release it:
Kneecaps:
Do while sitting on a chair with no front cross braces between the legs.
While sitting have your leg resting in a stretched position. Place both your thumbs, side by side, about 2 inches behind the kneecap and press down into your leg hard and then redirect the pressure a little towards the kneecap. After 30 seconds, slowly slide your foot back and under your chair as far as it will go, release the pressure but hold your foot there for another 30 seconds.
The important part of this is the pressure on the leg, if there isn’t enough this won’t take. If that happens try it once more right away. I still have some trouble with this one but once it’s done the results make the effort worth while. – Douglas B

Question 5
So I hurt my back…..?… My boyfriend and I were playing around a day ago and basiclly this is what happened. I was laying on my back, on the floor, texting one of my friends. When he came and layed down on top of me, and started kissing me. He is alot heavier then i am…i’m guessing aroun 140-160 and im only 118 pounds. I wasn’t sore when he got off of me but i just felt like…tense…like he was smuthering me. So anyways my back is a lil sore, in one spot like my tail bone area its a lil swollen.
So am I just brused?
Answers
1) i would but some ice on it or take rice and put it in a clean sock and heat it up that might help to make it less sore. – Emma Mary
2) Yes, you are probably just a little bruised. You may want to put some ice on the painful area and take it easy for a few days. If it doesn’t resolve or worsens you should see a doctor. – Melissa
3) Heat is bad. It’s inflamed and heat will make it feel worse. Ice for 20 mins, no more. Couple of times a day and some tylenol and you should feel fine in a week or less. Stretch carefully. – Craig Herin
