4)   Your back pain is caused by pinched muscles in your back and they have to be freed up to get rid of the pain. Here’s how to release those muscles to do that:

Back:

(do from a sitting position)

Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.

Your neck pains are caused by tight muscles in your neck and they need to be released to get rid of those pains and here’s how to do that:

Neck

Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your head. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about two minutes, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.

For best results with both relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B

6)   In general if you have an injury or inflammation the treatment for the first 48 hours is cold compresses (ice directly on skin increases the risk of frost bite which is considered a burn) for 20 minute intervals and Nonsteroidal Anti Imflamatory Drugs (NSAIDs) like Ibuprofen or Naproxen as directed. A pharmacist or your doctor can recommend if this should be taken. After the 48 hours warm moist compresses (if the cold help, alternate with warm) for up to 4 hours at a time. Massage and warm compresses may help if you are having spasms. Neck pain could be muscle spasm, arthritis in the neck vertebrae, pinched nerves or a disc out of place. If the pain persists seek your doctors advice. – chiprn2002

Question 4
Monthly wrist pain only in right wrist?…  For at least a few years now only my right wrist has been getting monthly (so it seems) pains that last for a couple weeks, then goes away. It only hurts right where that bone is that sticks up in the middle a little when I turn my wrist downward (like a praying mantis for visual description). It also hurts the most when I do as such, and especially worst when I press on it. I ride a motorcycle, use my computer a lot, used to wrestle, and hardly write anymore. The tendons themselves dont hurt, just the joint part. This is also my hitting hand. I sometimes hit walls when I get really angry typically hard enough to create golf ball sized swelling on the knuckle, but never have I broken it (as far as I know). If it was carpal tunnel then wouldnt the tendons hurt instead? I cant really afford to have my doctor look at it as I dont have insurance. And its only once a month or 2 so its only a partial annoyance. It doesnt just appear after anything specific, it slowly gets sore over a few days then subsides about a week or 2 later. Any opinions? I hate not being able to go on rides no longer than 20min on my motorcycle during the summer.

Answers
1)   Quit jacking off so much. – Pill Poppin Animal

2)   That pain can be coming from the tendons of your wrists if they are tight to cause the wrist to be pulled into the forearm bone to cause the pain. You have to free up those tendons by releasing them to get rid of the pain and here’s how to do that:

Wrist:

With hand resting in front of you and your wrist bent half way closed, press down hard slightly behind the wrist and hold that pressure. After 30 seconds slowly open your wrist up as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your wrist open for another 30 seconds.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B

3)   It might be Carpal Tunnel. I have the same symptoms but it’s in ly left wrist. You may have to go to a joint and muscle doctor for them to give you a cast-like bandage to support your wrist. To keep it from bending. – Grace

Question 5
I broke my toe……?…  my brother stepped on my toe soo hard and broke it. i have pics but theyre on my facebook. it looks broken and feels relly broken. its the worst physical pain ive ever felt in my life! i even cried alittle! and i know doctors cant do nothin bout it, and im goin ice skating 2 morrow. i hope its not relly broken. anyways on how i can make it feel better til 2morrow? i already drank milk. bleh i gaged doin that shiz!

Answers
1)   Well, sorry to say but you can’t have a broken toe be cured by the day after it first got broken. But if you think it’s broken ask an adult first if its broken or not. If it is, I’d take a napkin and wet it with warm water and rest for a little while. Then, I’d try to walk again. If it feels better, then you may be able to go ice skating, if not I wouldn’t be able to. – Mayee Aboelenin

2)   Okay, milk isn’t gonna do sh*t if it’s broken, just thought i’d let you know. If your toe is broken, depending on which toe it is, it would be stupid to go ice skating. You need to ice it and rest it as much as possible if it really is broken. If you go to the doctor they might be able to give you a little toe splint or something. I wouldn’t go ice skating if I were you, it’ll just hurt and you’ll end up screwing it up even more. – laxgirl1234

3)   Um, don’t ice skate. If it’s not broken, which i doubt, it’s obviously a really bad sprain, which can take weeks to heal. One day is not going to be enough time for it to heal noticeably at all. Likely it’ll be worse tomorrow, because you’ve slept on it and probably walked on it. Remember, injuries often get worse before they get better. – B

What makes liver transplant recipients go back to drinking?

People who have had to have liver transplants because of drinking too much sometimes start drinking again after their operation. Researchers from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center studied 208 people who had had transplants between May 1998 and August 2004. 54% had no reported alcohol use after surgery – a figure much better than for other people who have given up drinking. The length of sobriety before the operation was an important factor with people who had been sober for longer before their transplant less likely to return to drinking. Stress after the operation was also important with people experiencing more problems overall, being more stressed, having worse health, more pain and less energy being more likely to return to drinking.

Tried LSD (acid) now every time I smoke weed, my fry comes back!?

Question 1
Tried LSD (acid) now every time I smoke weed, my fry comes back!?…  First of all, don’t judge me or write stupid comments, only helpful ones.

I tried LSD/Acid for the first time 2 or 3 weeks ago and I had a bad trip because it was too intense for me and I was hallucinating hardcore. I took 3 tabs. Anyways, I NEVER want to try it again because it was a very traumatic experience.

So now every time i smoke weed, my fry comes back. This may be because I was also high and rolling when I took acid and my brain is associating being high with frying.

I really enjoy smoking weed, but ever since I fried, when I smoke weed it makes me feel like I’m frying again. Why is this? Will I ever be able to just smoke weed and enjoy being high instead of feel like I’m on a scary acid trip again? Please give your best advice.
FYI:

I’m aware that taking 3 tabs my first time was dumb. As I have stated, I REALLY regret doing it at all!

Answers
1)   Ive dealt with both one more than the other and you will not get back to normal, a permafry is a permafry, a normal trip doesn’t last past 12 – 24 hours except for minor tracers – A.B

2)   haha dont worry e frying should go away soon in like 1 week or so, if not then start of by smoking a longer dose of weed then slowly decrease the size of the dose, after that you can smoke as much as u like. – The One

3)   From what i know there is a chance you can experience the "Acid Trip" throughout your life now.

I dont mean to have a go at you but you ruined yourself…. My mate used to be cool… Then he done acid and he is like half the guy he was – It totally fried him!

If you wanna talk to someone, go see a doctor. Dont be embarassed – They were medical students once, they done every drug under the sun. – StuJag

4)   Wow scary stuff. Ummmm, best advice is too go clean for a while, or don’t smoke as much weed as you usually do. It may take a few months or more for the acid to leave your system, in some cases even years. I don’t know why people do these things, what happened to good old weed. – MahshadS

5)   nope itll feel like that for a loonnggg time like 4 example if your on extasy and u have sex youll never wanna have sex again beacuse it wont feel right and as good so try 1 and only 1 acid tab and stay around things that send off good vibes and have a good trip and smoke while doing that,

and no offense but taking 3 is kinda dumb still love ya though – shakir1994@rocketmail.com

6)   maybe, but it could come back for years.

The best advice is to try and sweat it out with a lot of exercise, maybe that will help get it out of your system. – FunkMasterFlex

7)   you probably messed something up, lay off the stuff a while and if your lucky youll get better. Oh, FYI most LSD and weed is fat soluable so if you are using the stuff and eat after word it can get stored away in the fat cells, so if you work out or start doing activity it will be relased into your system with out you even taking a drug. – kory

8)   Sounds like a minor case of post-traumatic stress disorder. Don’t know what to tell you. Maybe try some relaxation techniques when you smoke weed. If you don’t enjoy smoking weed anymore, stop doing it. It’s not the end of the world, lol. – Edward

9)   It might be flashbacks, but I’ve never heard of somebody having this problem before. It might be that you’ve just been smoking a real potent shipment of marijuana. Believe me, there’s a big difference between mids and headies. One good bowl of headies gets me as high as if I smoked three bowls of decent regular bud. I have only achieved the "fried" state of mind when smoking headies, lol. You probably just ate too much acid on the first go-round. I’ve never tried it (only due to lack of means), so I’ve heard that you should start out with 1 and go for 2 if your good, but no more than that to start. I’m sure these feelings will just wear off naturally within a month. – CheKicksAss

10)   That’s what’s called a "flashback". And there’s a GOOD chance that you’ll be having that bad trip over and over and over again for YEARS to come. Taking 3 tabs your first time wasn’t very bright. – scott b

11)   the acid is well out of your system. the smoke makes you paranoid. must be good. the acid made you paranoid too. they’re not the same. your fry is long gone. the smoke won’t make it come back. relax or you’ll give yourself an anxiety attack and then you’ll think your tripping again. chill……by the way, who the hell told you to take 3 hits of acid at the same time ? if it was your friends then don’t listen to them anymore. they don’t know what they’re doing. – larry o

1)   dont worry, youre not gonna die. just clean it. – Gabriela

2)   Did you touch the part that goes in your ear? or set it down on something? If so, it could get infected. If not, then you’re probably fine – alex

3)   It will be fine. Just make sure you bath it well some disinfectant twice a day like you supposed to. Don’t take it out again until you six weeks are up. Try not to irritate it by taking it out. As long as the bleeding has stopped and you keep them clean it’s okay. – crazychi

4)   No, you’ll be ok. Just to be safe, some of the anticeptic they probably gave you on your year. Also, be sure to always wash your hands before you remove or put in earrings. – pam-i-am

5)   I’ve never really had a piercing or anything, but from my experience of having a sister, i can say that it’s really no big deal if you maintain cleaning it. It may be sore or something after doing that… but it’s really not that hard to keep them from getting infected. – Insanitysaurus

6)   hmm. well it probably bled because you put the earing in wrong, or your ears are just really sensitive and got irritated.

The 2 weeks should have been long enough for it to heal up around the earing.. but i would suggest to take out the earring and clean your ear and the earring.

i hope i helped!(: – emmy<3

Light the blue touch paper, stand back and see what happens

Researchers from the University of Valencia have been making 30 Spanish men angry to see what happens. The researchers were looking to see what happens in people’s brains and bodies rathe than how they behaved. They read the men 50 phrases designed to make them angry. They found that when the men got angry their heart rate, arterial tension and testosterone production increased and their levels of the stress hormone cortisol decreased. The left hemisphere of the men’s brains became more stimulated, especially in the frontal and temporal lobes.

The pain hits me when I am standing at work and it interferes with my work because I stand my whole shift.

1)   Hi John. I am a retired Chiropractor.

Any time you have low back pain that radiates into BOTH legs, and/or all the way down one leg, you have a potentially very serious condition. It might be wise to have a thorough evaluation by your family Chiropractor or other appropriately trained health care professional.

Best wishes and good luck. – Doctor J

2)   Chances are your back is very tight and you have a lot of stress. Try a heating pad on your lower back, you can alternate with ice a couple times, 15-20 min. each. Take an anti-inflamitory (such as ibuprofen) medication also. Try this at least once a day for a week, then get a professional massage. If still no results see a chiropractor. If you have other symptoms that your embarrassed about such as loss of bowel or incontinence defiantly seek medical help sooner rather than later. Good Luck! – mhinp

Question 4
what’s wrong with my knee?…  2 years ago while hunting in the mountains my knee started making a clicking noise the next day it was painfull to walk on and I limped out. I havn’t been in the mountains for 2 years so I whent for a climb, my knee seems to be ok on the flat but gets painfull whenever I walk up or downhill. I whent to the doctor, he pulled and pushed it then perscribed a course of ibuprofen that I have decided no to take as my knee is not in pain on flat ground. The injury is likely due to over use but what have I injured and how do I fix it?

Answers
1)   you have boo boos! – Skylor

2)   I would go to an orthopedist and get an x-ray and real opinion. The knee is rather complicated with many ligaments holding things in place. You could have a bone chip of a piece of cartilage that has migrated and is getting in the way. They can fix most things using tiny opening and scopes. Might as well get it fixed as this seems to be chronic and you don’t need it. – Vortex

3)   I would just take the ibuprofen when hunting in the mountains… when it hurts, which is what it is for. As for injuries of overuse, there is no cure. you just have to either deal with the pain or give up what you love.

good luck! – lmlb918@yahoo.com

How do I prevent this from happening again, because now I can’t even walk properly.

Answers
1)   You could always try paying attention to where you’re going. When I first got my bed lofted, I banged my head a few times on the rail. Then I realized that I didn’t like getting black eyes and knots on top of my head, so I tried the technique of "watching where I was going." It worked wonders. – Tiktaalik

2)   Use normal, running shoes that will cover your whole foot. Also, wrapping them in some self-adhesive bandage tape could help too.

good luck! – lmlb918@yahoo.com

3)   Wear steel toe boots everywhere? Or you could get shoes with a hard plate on the bottom that would take the abuse for you. – gym-maddie

Back pain, computer work ALL DAY.?

Question 1
Back pain, computer work ALL DAY.?…  My new job requires me to be at the computer for 8-12 hours a day. Luckily not everyday, only 3-4 days a week.

But after even a few hours, I have pain in my neck, shoulders, all the way down my back to under my shoulder blades. I’m not just typing so I don’t stay in the same position all day, I tend to be grabbing files, typing them up, or organizing papers etc.

Any suggestions on what will help with the back pain?

Answers
1)   f – Cream

2)   Maybe get a new bed, one, that fits ur pains and stuff! – Aaron

3)   Poor posture is the most likely of problems, a good lumbar support for your chair would work, they sell pads that strap to the chair, unless your work is willing to buy you a nice expsensive proper posture chair – Mark

4)   TRY TO GET A PILLOW AND SIT ON YOU FEET THIS CAN CAUSE NERVE DAMAGE – Kyle

5)   Ok, like another user has said, that’s bad posture. Maybe your slouching or hunching over your keyboard, perhaps even leaning? Try to keep your back strait up against the back of your chair so it’s strait, also try not to sit to close to the screen as this can make your eyes hurt or be hard to open. Also try to ‘touch type’ if you can’t already as otherwise, excess typing could cause you RSI (repetitive strain injury) or arthritis. (Search up meanings for better definition.) You should also follow a ‘routine’ such as taking a break every half an hour or even getting a drink? Try not to keep your eyes glued to the screen, like move them around regularly and focus on different objects for a few seconds so your eyes stay ‘OK’.

Hope this helps! – torcorn968

Answers
1)   That is from a tight or pinched muscle in your neck. It may have been half way there before you went to bed last night for they don’t hurt then, but somehow during your sleep it ended up going into being fully pinched and you have to do something about it now. All you can do for it is release the muscles in your neck and the pain should be gone. Here’s how to do that:

Neck Release:

Place your hands behind your head touching your fingers. Press into the back of your neck with them and hold the pressure on them. After 30 seconds slowly lower your head until your neck is fully extended. Release the pressure but hold your head there for another 30 seconds. – Douglas B

2)   Hey, Im defiantly no expert but it could be a bad stiff neck. Basically, if you have been sleeping in a awkward condition, your neck craps and it can be very pain full. It normally lasts no longer than a week, but try not to put any strain or force onto your neck. (Unless it’s Professional.) You could have got it from falling over/sport or even just doing your daily business, if a mussel in your neck has been pulled that can be pain full plus if your neck has been ‘thrown’ backwards, (for example, if you get pushed and your head gets thrown back,) that could have caused your problem. I got something like that once in my neck, going into my shoulder, my neck was almost unmovable via turning left and my left arm couldn’t be lifted at all. My rugby coach did something ‘to relieve stress on the bone and mussel’ (be basically gave me a ‘pain full’ massage,) and I was fine after?

Hope that helps!!!

Long road back to normality for borderline sufferers

Building a good social life and holding down a job can be tough for people with borderline personality disorder (BPD) even when their symptoms have disappeared. Mary Zanarini from McLean Hospital in Massachusetts followed 290 people with BPD over a decade to see how their condition changed; the participants in the study had all been inpatients at the hospital. 93% of the patients had had at least one 2-year break from BPD symptoms over the course of the study and 86% had had a four-year period without symptoms. However, only about half of the participants achieved ‘full recovery’ which was defined as a reprieve from symptoms lasting at least two years plus good social and vocational functioning. Of those who did recover about a third later redeveloped symptoms or once again struggled socially, or with their job.

5)   Back pain is caused by pinched muscles and the only way of getting rid of it is to release the muscles that are pinched. Here is how to release your back muscles:

Back:

(do from a sitting position)

Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. – Douglas B

6)   I would:

Apply ice or heat to your back.

Stop all strenuous activities.

Relieve the pressure on the sciatic nerve with correct postures.

Use proper back supports.

Do low back exercises.

See your doctor if the pain persists or goes into the leg. – BRAT

7)   Find a reliable Chiropractor and set up an appointment. I was having serious lower back pain issues several weeks ago and my Chiropractor was able to completely alleviate my pain after a couple visits. Keep in mind that not everyone gets results in that short of a time but an adjustment schedule will help to get rid of your pain and keep it away. – Skytown

8)   *First you should make sure it’s not your kidneys.

~That said: Seriously take 2 aspirin.

~If it’s spine/muscle related and you can’t get to a chiropractor: Take 2 aspirin and place an ICE PACK on the hurt area for 15 minutes – and the next time it starts to hurt use a HEATING PAD for 15 minutes. Also, NO more strenuous activities – lifting, pushing, pulling… until the pain is completely gone. (Keep this up and the pain should be gone within a month or so.)

***VERY IMPORTANT: You should also take a 1000m vitamin D each morning w/ breakfast or at night w/ dinner. I had back pain for 12 years and the vitamin D has kept me pain free for 5 months now!

~Been there – I really hope you feel better soon!! – Tabby

Does it harm you to drink blood?…  now and then my finger bleeds, an accidentally knife cut. I suck the blood and noticed that I like it. So now sometimes I cut my finger on purpose. I drink not much, not a whole glass but just a little I can suck out of my finger. Is this bad for your health?

3)   wow…umm…scary…watching to much twilight i see. – :( soo confused!!:(

4)   i used to be addicted to drinking blood yes its bad for your health it kills brain cells, causes blindness and it can cause hemophelia – John

5)   Drinking blood isn’t bad for you by itself. Other cultures drink blood from cows and there’s blood in the meat you eat. If the blood has any diseases then that’s bad, but if it’s your own blood you’re safe. Cutting your fingers isn’t a good idea though because you don’t want to risk getting an infection for no reason. There are better uses of your fingers and time. – Justin K

6)   Drinking blood is not good on your digestive system. Granted little bites, like your finger, or a small cut no big deal but the more you would ingest the more chance you have at getting a stomach ache.

Blood is suppose to stay inside your body and carry oxygen/nutrients to all your cells as well as removing waste. The circulatory system. – Lucixir

7)   Do you mean your physical health or your mental health?

Physically, the small amount of blood that you could suck from a finger cut will do nothing to your body.

However… intentionally cutting yourself is a serious mental health issue. Rationalizing it with "I like the taste" or "it is just a little cut" only hides the fact that intentionally cutting yourself is not normal behavior.

Try this… stop now. Cold turkey. If you find you can’t; if you find that after two or three days you are compelled to cut… See a doctor/counselor please! – honest answer

3)   I was going to say back problems and then I caught your additional details and now I’m sure it is. You have muscles that are tight in your back and what else is happening because of that is hard to say. Releasing those muscles should help out your scoliosis for something is pulling on your back unnaturally and muscles is all there is there. Here is how to release your back from top to bottom, for it’s at the bottom that if you have pinched muscles there it can be putting pressure on the nerves going to your legs and causing that problem:

Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and press on them and hold. My new message therapist has a method of “stretching/releasing” my lower back . . .?

Question 1
My new message therapist has a method of "stretching/releasing" my lower back . . .?…  While laying on my stomach, she’ll lift my leg at the knee and cross it over the back of my body and hold it there for about 10 seconds. It felt good in a painful kind of way, until the next morning. I have an L5-S1 bulging disc; after that maneuver, my low back pain made a come-back. Is this good procedure?
Thanks to all for your suggestions/comments!

Answers
1)   If you end up in more pain coming out of any therapy than you had going in I don’t think it would be considered good therapy or would I even go back. If the therapist doesn’t know how to release muscles without getting you into more pain they don’t know what they are doing. Here is how you can release the muscles in your back which should help you get the relief you need in those lower bulging discs:

Back:

(do from a sitting position)

Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but remain there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. – Douglas B

2)   you go to them and think they can fix it . but they cant . you will get the same relife at home . i have a abb lounger it worked wounders . i lean back and it stretche my back out so ell . hurt like hell at first . but you can get the same relife on your bead . lay on your back and slide off head first . onc you hit the spot that hurts stop and slowly work your way down . and dont for get to breath . common mistake is holding your breath . you notice it you hold your breath when you bend over or go up or down stares . you must learn to stop it . and when turning . most people turn at the waist . dont do that . turn from the neck . look the direction you are going to turn . lead with your head . – Suspension Notice

3)   Yikes! well – chiropractors work all the time with these bulging disks – they say they can put them back where they belong. You might find one. Crossing the leg over like that is a sort of typical move to relieve some sorts of back pain. But it sounds as if you have a "chronic back" which needs to be popped back into place. – Morpheus

Question 2
Pain and tenderness in lower stomach?!?…  Hi. I had a baby seven months ago and since then my lower stomach (below my belly button) has been very tender to the touch. It doesn’t hurt, it is just kinda sore and uncomfortable feeling. Today I have had a sharp pain in my lower stomach on the right side kinda towards my hip bone. Is this part of the soreness I have had since giving birth? What could either of these be? I have looked it up online and I am not finding any answers. Thank you for your help!

2)   I would think it would be pinched muscles in your back especially since you just got done carrying all that extra weight around with you, a very easy way of getting your back muscles pinched. When they are pinched they can easily put pressure on the nerves going to your stomach which in turn makes your stomach act up and out. It can cause your stomach to be putting out extra acid which would be painful, it can put pressure on other nerves which can make other organs act up as well. Here is how to release your back muscles which is either going to cure you or at least bring everything back to the problem area that is the actual cause:

– Douglas B

Question 3
bad headache for 2 days face feels bruised?…  I’ve had a bad headache since waking up thursday morning, the pain is on one of my temples, i’ve taken headache tablets for last 2 days and they haven’t helped, my face around the area feels bruised when i touch it, mainly under my eye and cheekbone, can’t sleep as its to painful! thanks

Answers
1)   There is one way of releasing the pain, by releasing the muscle in your neck where the headaches all get their start. Here is how to release them:

Neck

Invert your hands and put them next to your head placing your thumbs in under your ears and your fingers behind your head. Squeeze together and hold until the muscles release. Then slowly lower your head until your neck is fully extended, release the pressure but hold your head there for another 30 seconds.

You can sometimes get relief by pressing into your temples and holding a moderate pressure there for a minimum of 30 seconds, or hold until desired amount of relief is found. I’m not sure how long this one lasts but it does make a difference in pain level if nothing else. – Douglas B

Shin Splints I have had right ankle problems since May 2009, and the pain has been bad!?…  I just saw a podiatrist bc the pain has not got much better, so now he has me in a boot and taking Meloxicam, icing, and I tape it. He has scheduled me for a follow up appointment in 6 weeks. Anyone know if they will get better after a year of trauma?

Answers
1)   Not the way he’s going at it, he is helping to make it worse, not much help there. I would never ice a shin splint for you have a muscle that is already in a mode where it is shortened and icing is going to try to shorten it more, that would add to your pain. Here is how you can release a shin splint and if you get it to work you can forget about the dr. for he hasn’t a clue:

Shin splints:

Right leg. Place your right leg on your lap and place your fingers from both hands side by side, right in the front of your shin, right next to the bone and press in and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your toes down as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your toes there for another 30 seconds. – Douglas B
