Question 4
Whats wrong with my poop?…  I know this is sick but im a bit worried

in 30 minutes i made 3 trips to the bathroom

1st time my poop was in small chunks like it normally is

2nd It was SO long and it was kinda soft and burned when it came out

3rd I had one half as long same consistency and then a lot of diarrhea

Is this something I should worry about? After the second one my lower belly hurt and I was scared maybe it did something to my intestines or something

Answers
1)   this is the best question I have ever seen.

I have no idea what’s wrong with your poop, but I just laughed my butt off. – Jesus Is Evil

2)   are you a boy or girl?

because if your a girl, then you might be expecting your period. I know this sounds gross but i poop ALOT on my period cuz what happens is, your uterus contracts & makes ur intestines squeeze. therefore poop comes out.

but if ur a boy, then maybe you thought u were done pooping but u really werent. causing u to go back to the bathroom. – PipSqueekRaquel

3)   Probably just something you ate. You have bacteria, protozoans, amoebae, etc. inside your gut. Sometimes, either what you eat has stuff in it that messes with your body or the little microbes you already have in your body OR there is a physical barrier that is removed. SO, maybe you were constipated and then things backed up but then broke free.

I would think one of these two scenarios occurred:

You ate something that irritated your intestinal mucosa (like super spicy peppers, hence the burning (but, the burning might have resulted after wiping from the first time)) or the bacteria in your gut already.

You ate contaminated food. Not all bacteria that you eat that cause "food poisoning" make you super sick. Sometimes, you just get a little diarrhea.

No matter what, I bet that you’re fine tomorrow. You might have one more episode of diarrhea, but you should be fine after that.

DRINK fluids to replace the lost water, though. Diarrhea kills more people each year than you know. – Shane N

5)   A persons pattern and consistency of bowel movements (poop) can vary greatly depending on what you have eaten. This is normal. Additionally, some people have stools like you describe when feeling stressed. There is some possibility that you could have eaten something that was a bit too old so that bacteria was starting to multiply. That would resuIt in diahrea for about 24 hours and probably some vomiting too and in most cases goes away on its own. It could, of course, be a viral infection. None of these should be a major source of concern. Buy some Pepto Bismol and take as directed. If the diarhea does not clear up in 24 to 48 hours after you take the pepto or if you develop bloody stools (not just a few drops because that can just be hemmorhoids and is not serious) you probably should see your doctor. – BlessingsMom

help me i cant move my neck? ):?

Question 1
help me i cant move my neck? ):?…  Ok, i woke up this morning and i couldn’t move my neck to the left and it hurts really bad. Please please help me.

Answers
1)   just take it easy lay on the side that hurts – Jack Nikes

2)   its stiff you slept on it wrong, get an ice pact or heat pack. i suggest taking a warm shower and streaming the water into the left side of your neck it will warm up the muscle enough for you to stretch it out so it wont hurt as bad. i hope it helped. – michel

3)   Sounds like you slept funny, my friend!

Do you have a heating pad? Do some heat, then ice, and repeat.

Do some very gentle stretches. Look down, then forward, then left, return, right, return. All very slowly. Slowly reach your ear to your left shoulder, forward, and then to your right shoulder. Again, slowly.

Take some advil/ibuprofen which is better for muscle pain than Tylenol, I find. – J Cv

4)   You have a tight muscle in your neck to cause that pain. If you ice a tight pain it is going to try to contract even more and you are going to end up in more pain, heat is the better of the two. The best is releasing the muscles to get rid of the tight one and here’s how to do that:

Neck

Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your head. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about two minutes, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B

I got the wind knocked out of me but that was primarily it…. i feel like the fall however pushed part of my spine a little inward…now for some reason my back cracks constantly (not sure if the fall did anything) when i bend my back backwards a little it usually produces 5 cracks in the upper spine. when i lie on my bed on the laptop and breathe in deeply my back usually cracks…..I run track, hurdles, and high jump (may or may not contribute to my back ) the cracking doesnt hurt at all but does relieve tension……Any reason for this??????

2)   When there has been trauma to the muscles like that they usually tighten up to give pain and in the very least just tighten up which doesn’t give pain but does leave the body doing things it wouldn’t normally do. For that reason it would be good to release the muscles in your back, get them all back together at zero again and it should take care of anything wrong. Here’s how to do that:

Back:

(do from a sitting position)

Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.

3)   Pinched muscles in your back in that area can also give you that pain. It’s so easy to get pinched muscles it’s more likely it’s this than anything. You have to free up the muscle to get rid of the pain and releasing it is the best way to do that and here it is:

Back:

Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. Question 4
How Do I Get My Sleep Schedule Back On Track?…  I am starting school in 9 days.

And lately, I have been staying up until 5 am, and waking up at 10 am.

My parents have been waking me up 10 am or earlier the past few days. I am REALLY tired.

But I try gettting to sleep earlier, but I end up staying awake for 2 or 3 hours just lying in my bed.

I am NOT a morning person. I am always awake at night though. And my school starts at 8:00 but I have to get up at 6:00 for my bus, which comes at 6:50.

You would think that not getting much sleep every night would make me want to go to bed, but it doesn’t.

And I can’t do the whole stay up all night, then got to bed early thing. I need my energy for "Family fun" activities such as hiking or kayaking. When I tell my mom this, shes like "YOU ARE STAYING UP UNTIL 5:00 AM??? WE ARE GETTING YOU BACK ON TRACK, YOU ARE WAKING UP EARLY!!!" And my parents won’t listen!!!

I’m not drinking any caffiene either. but i am barely getting any sleep now.

What should I do????????
I am really tired during the day, but at night I am wide awake.
And I am only 13
on a regular school day, i only get about 7 hours of sleep or maybe even less. it takes me 1 or 2 hours to fall asleep

Answers
1)   Sleep at the opposite schedule as you do right now, it will only suck for a day or two, but it’ll jumpstart your circadian rhythm – Zhane

2)   Hi there,

I used to have the same problem when I was at school, and I found that the best solution was just to wait until school starts. When school starts you’ll HAVE to wake up early, you have no choice…and you’re lucky since your parents wake you up for school. After a few days of waking up early and sleeping too late, your body will react and start to feel tired, so you’ll need more sleep. you’ll automatically want to sleep after you get home from school.

So don’t worry, our body always finds ways to show us what it needs :)perpil

3)   hmm i had a similar problem..try tiring yourself throughout the day, mabye exercising or trying to build up the energy to do the family fun things(like, act like your awake and not tired) do anything to tire your body out! by the time the day is over, youll be too tired to stay awake…close your eyes and soon enough ull go 2 sleep…btw, when school starts, ull have to wake up early anyways..when u wake up early, youll soon bee able to sleep earlier also…dont take sleeping pills unless u REALLY have to… – gurl U dnt know

I think my boyfriend is addicted to oxycontin, please help!?

Question 1
I think my boyfriend is addicted to oxycontin, please help!?…  Over the last few months people have been continually telling me my boyfriend is abusing oxycontin. At first I didn’t believe it because he denied it and laughed at me like I was silly for asking, but then people kept telling me he was doing it. His brother and cousin have come to me and told me he has a problem so finally I looked through his room and found his foil.. and other stuff that I guess is used for smoking it. I don’t know what to do because I have never dealt with an addict. I don’t know if I should tell his family or what to do. We’ve been together almost 3 years now.. and I’ve confronted him about this 3 times.. the first time he lied, second time he said he has done it a couple times, and this last time he said he hasn’t done it for a while.. so I guess it’s progress that he has admitted to it more… but I don’t know. Any advice anyone has would be helpful.. is oxycontin really that hard to kick? Everyone keeps telling me he is a lost cause but I don’t want to believe that!

Answers
1)   an addict is gonna lie to you about it , and it’s severity until they come to terms with it themselves. – Arizona Gamer

2)   Seems like ur in denial & believe his lies. You need to get out before you become an addict as well. It will eventually come between you. Its not worth the fight. You can’t change someone that doesn’t want to change. Yes it is a hard addiction to kick. He obviously doesn’t want to change if he is lying to you. – girlygirlgoboom

3)   A good buddy of mine just went to rehab for the second time because of this drug. If the foil you found has a discolored line on it, and you find straws around the area he is more then likely smoking it. This just so happens to be the quickest way to get high from the drug, as well as the most addictive way. My Doctor was telling me the other day that using opiates changes your brain structure, pleasure center area, and if this is done over and over the changes are irreversible. I would highly suggest contacting his loved ones to get him into rehab and off the drug. This is not something I would just brush off. Keep in mind that the drug will be telling him what to say when you ask him about it. If you do end up telling his parents ask them to keep your name out of it so it doesnt ruin you guys relationship..best of luck – G willie

4)   He’s a BF not your husband. Dump him now before you go any further. Tell him the reasons and let him take it from there. My daughter did this to her husband. She gave him a choice, the drugs or her, he chose the drugs so, she divorced him, he’s with another girl, still into drugs and she’s his sling now.

Get out while the getting good, you owe him nothing if he doesn’t want to help himself. – cowboydoc

5)   You don’t want to get involved, let him choose between you & the drug.

I know it’s not easy and you’ve been together for 3 years but he might destroy your life aswell, and get you into it and stuff like that.

good luck – Do not Eat YelloWsnoW

6)   Call Dr. Phil. I doubt he’d be a ‘lost cause’ or else there’d be nobody left to work in Hollywood. – Fuller

7)   It sounds like he may be addicted. First, He has to be willing and want to accept help or he won’t be successful. It’s also very important for you not to enable him by making excuses, etc. Oxycontin is very hard to quit, but there has been some success with methadone clinics, although they can be expensive and usually not covered by insurance. Good luck! – Kel-Kel

Question 4
Pain in my head…really scared?…  Everytime I am about to reach a sexual climax (sorry, awkward, but I don’t know if that has anything to do with it) I get this really odd pain in the top left of my brain.

The pain is localized, but it creeps down into my ear and down my neck. I don’t feel like my head is swollen in the area, but I do feel like it goes up a bit (but I’m thinking that’s just because it’s next to a natural dent in my head, but I’m still really paranoid about it).

I’m thinking about it now, and I feel like it’s in the front of the left side as well, so basically all of my left brain/head hurts.

It’s not like a normal head ache pain, it kind of feels like it’s an "ear ache" feeeling, but all the way through my whole left side.

I don’t have a fever nor do I feel sick. This has happened twice now, once a few days ago and once around 12:30.

The weird thing is, it’s only when I’m about to sexually climax that it starts and it continues the rest of the night until I fall asleep and I wake up with no headache.

Please help me, I’m extremely paranoid.
If I were to have an inner ear infection, wouldn’t I have a fever and what not?

I’d also like to add that my brother said my pupils are the same size, and I can follow his finger with just my eyes when he moves it.

Please give me advice..

Is it normal to feel embaressed?…  I woke up in the hospital this morning with a minor head injury. I have a goose egg on my forehead. I was sleeping in a bed in the ER. I had been drinking last night and was hungover. When I woke up I was mortified to be there so I just got up and bailed. I remember most of the night, just not events that happened immediately prior to the injury, and none afterwards.

Could this type of head injury knock me out? How can I piece together the events to figure out what happened? None of my friends were around.

I know I could go to the hospital to ask to see my records but I’m way to embaressed. Has something like this happened to you?

Question 5
Super weird headaches along with stomach aches?…  All day, I feel fine when I lay or sit down. I have a little headache, that’s it. But the second I stand up, I get dizzy, my headache becomes excruciating, and it feels like the aftermath of being punched in the mid-stomach multiple times. I eat a vaguely healthy diet, and have for years, so, I’m doubting it’s connected to foods. Any ideas?
Okay, so, thank you for the tips for the headache. But, what about my stomach pains? Those are so much worse than my head. Are these two pains connected?

3)   Your headaches are caused by tight muscles in your neck. those muscles go to the top of your head for it’s movements so any muscle tight in that area makes it feel like a headache. With tight muscles in your neck you are slowing down the exchange of oxygen and other nutrients to cause the light headed feeling when you stand. You have to release the muscles in your neck to get rid of the pain and here’s how to do that:

Neck

Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your head. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. After 45 seconds, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.

With your neck in the lowered position, replace your thumbs in under the ears and your fingers behind your head but right next to your skull this time. Press your fingers and thumbs together again and hold. Relax your body while waiting. When the muscles have all released, slowly lift your head until it’s level again, release the pressure but hold your head like that for another 30 seconds.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B

Question 4
DOES ANYONE KNOW what is wrong with my tummy?…  3 Days ago, I was sitting at work, ( I work for a calling center) and suddenly, my stomach starting hurting really bad, I mean REALLY bad. It felt like needles stabbing me in the gut and it made it hard to walk and breath…. Ive gotten that pain before so I didnt think anything of it and just lived through it.

I know its not related to pregnancy because I just finished my cycle and am on BC.

The very next day, I felt fine, but had minor pains. I felt hungry alot and I ate… Half way through the day again, I started having uncomfortable pains but nothing needle-like, it was just a bloated and full feeling but i felt starved all at the same time..

It is day three and I felt nauseous almost all day, had minor burning and stabbing sensations, and felt full, hungry and somewhat bloated as well. I didnt vomit but I felt pretty close. When I ate, I felt a bit better, but that didnt last long at all. I sometimes thought I could feel the liquids in my stomach of as if something was pouring into it… (like when you drink cold water) but that was rare. My stomach keeps growling as well, when I feel full, but my brain is also making me feel like Im hungry. I dont know wether I am hungry or not, wether its just the pain doing it or not. Im very concerned.

Its almost like im suffering from every stomach pain imaginable.. I have no idea what it is and I cant see a doctor until Thursday, so i just wanted to see if anyone had felt this or knew anything about this.

Question 5
Could Bumping My Head Cause An Aneurysm?…  Hey. I worry about a lot of things, so I just want a little advice on this, so I can stop worrying. Tonight at work, I bumped my head a couple times lightly. Like I stood up quickly after bending over, and banged my head a little on a metal shelf. Aneurysm’s don’t run in my family, but I’ve been reading about them, and I’m just paranoid. Could a bump to the head cause one to occur? and it wouldn’t cause one to rupture if you didn’t have a pre existing one already would it? any info would be great. thanks.

Answers
1)   I’m not a doctor but getting an aneurysm from a bump is VERY rare. You’d have to hit your head in exactly the right spot for something to rupture. And remember, your skull is like a helmet for your brain so if it was a light bump I highly, highly doubt it.

If you’re feeling a lot of pain or dizziness and what not, get checked out. If you’re really worried you could just schedule an appointment or call a nurses station.

Good luck! – Pinkxo

2)   STOP LOOKING ONLINE!!! That is the worst thing you could possibly do!! If you lightly bumped your head a few times at work then YOU ARE FINE!! You are highly highly unlikely to get any time of rupture or even a concussion for that matter from bumping your head. You’d have to hit your head very very hard in order for something like that to rupture, and then ignore it! Just relax, I went through a weird phase where I thought I was going to have a brain anerysum, but I got over it. Its so rare. Just relax and stop looking at DR. Google! its not good for you!!

DEEP BREATHES!!!

Could new tests help suicide prediction?

Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among adults under 65 in the U.S. so predicting who might kill themselves could save a considerable number of lives. At the moment most attempts at prediction are based on people’s answers to a series of questions and – because people might not wish to own up to thoughts about suicide – are scarcely better than tossing a coin. Researchers at Harvard University have developed two tests that they hope will improve this process. In the first test the participants had to identify the colour of different words on screen, the idea being that suicidal individuals would pay more attention to words relating to suicide than other words. In the second test participants were tested on how strongly they associated themselves with words related to either life or death/suicide. The first test predicted suicide within the next six months more accurately than well-known risk factors such as a history of suicide attempts, patients’ reported likelihood of an attempt and doctor’s predictions. In the second test those participants with strong associations between themselves and death/suicide were six times more likely to attempt to kill themselves within the next six months.

Answers
1)   First you have to understand one thing about headaches, they are from neck pains. The neck muscles get so tight that when they send the message to the brain, it’s so intense that all the brain feels is pain, so we call it a headache, for that is where we feel it. That being said all you have to do to get rid of a headache is release the muscles in your neck and here’s how to do that:

If there is any pain left over just repeat it again.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B

2)   Hello,

It appears that the cause of your headaches could one of the following:

1. Misaligned Occuput, C1 and C2 vertebral bodies (watch these videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ite3u9PwPU and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4HRwDUywvw )

2. Sub occipital muscles of the cervical spine are very tight and causing cervicogenic headache

I would suggest to see on of the following specialists:

1. Acupuncturist

2. CMT

3. Chiropractor

Bring your MRI report and films when you see these specialists. – Eduard Burt, D.C., MUAC

3)   wow you sound just like me. the visual flashing colors is normal by the way

smelling spearmint helps get rid of headaches. i buy spearmint tea from walmart and boil a cup of it in a pot of water then just lean over it and inhale. squeezing your pressure point can temporarily relieve them too. you know you have found your pressure point when you press on it and it hurts.

also taking time to relax and not think about anything helps too. they sound like tension headaches, so relaxing and laughing (or crying) can prevent them – Zoey

1)   It’s tight muscles in your neck causing the headache. They hurt so bad and the pain so intense that when the brain receives the message from them all it feels is pain, so we call it a headache. To get rid of it all you have to do is release your neck muscles and here’s how to do that:

If any pain remains when done just repeat the process.

1)   pregnant or your diet is crap. – Sez B

2)   it depends on your diet. If you aren’t eating something healthy and you’re only eating one thing repetitively it could mess your body up because you are not getting enough nutrients. If you’re using diet pills you need to stop taking them and go to the doctor to ask him about the pills you have because some diet pills only work because they screw with your digestive enzymes and the rest of your body. It isn’t a healthy way to lose weight. If you are doing excessive crunches then you need to take it down a notch or two. The best idea is to go to the doctor and ask them about it. – PtSd_ChAmP~

1)   He could have pressure on the nerves from pinched muscles in his lower back. They get onto the nerves and can cause pain through the legs so I don’t know why they wouldn’t be able to cause this as well. Here’s how to release those muscles to get the problem to stop:

Back:

(do from a sitting position)

Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. 4)   your probably pregnant, or have a tumor, or growing pains, or not eating your veggies, or taking your vitamins, or food poisoning, or go to a doctor instead of asking yahoo hmmmm jackpot – Sparrow

5)   There’s a couple of things.. A lot of people develop an intolerance to lactose (the sugar in milk) and their bodies can’t break it down. They can get gassy, cramped, or out and out nauseous if they eat anything with milk in it (which is an awful lot of things, it turns out). Another really common one is a protein compound found in grain called Gluten, people who eat anything with grain or cereal (most breads, eg) get very sick.

To show how common these are, I know two people who are lactose intolerant, and two people who are allergic to gluten. So, statistically, these are not rare things. And since wheat and milk are in a huge variety of foods, you might be making yourself sick just about every day and not realizing it. I would try cutting all dairy out of my diet, and see how you feel. After that: All grains. Narrow it down. And good luck. – JJ

6)   Many times you can get stomach pains from a pinched muscle in your back. When they are pinched they pull the vertebrae closer together which makes it easy for the muscles to press into the nerves for other body organs where they leave the spine. When it’s the ones for the stomach that are pressed on it causes the brain to send in more acid and when there isn’t anything in the stomach to digest it eats on your stomach lining and the pain comes from there. This is especially true to be the cause if you have been having the same stomach pains for a while. Here is how to release your back muscles so the pressure is released from those nerves:

When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B

7)   The first thing I would try is Prilosec, Zantac, Pepcid, or other over the counter anti ulcer medications. You should get relief in a few days if your problem is an irritated stomach lining, ulcer, or acid reflux. – Bad Dad

8)   Maybe you tell the doctor. – Kelsey D

Question 4
Why do I sleep so much?!?…  I’m never really tired, I’m not depressed, and I’m kind of active I work alot and when I don’t I swim or go walk with friends I’m 16 and a normal summer night for me sleeping is 3:30am-12:30pm and for school it’s 11:00-5:40am
alright no during school I get no sleep but it’s summer and I sleep from like 3:30am to 12:30pm

Answers
1)   Umm… 11.00 – 5.40 is not a lot of sleep. It’s less then eight hours which is the reccommended sleep time for teenagers. I sleep around 1am – 10/11am weekends, and summer about 11-2 till 10am. School night would be 10.45-7.05 for me

x

You sleep alritte! – Sapphire R

2)   Really? Lucky you! I have to go to school at half 8 in the morning!

You get less then 8 hours. A average teenager is meant to get around 10 hours of sleep. I get around 10. Im not tired. (i am at the moment because im ill) But you sleep fine. You should be getting more sleep! x – Molly

3)   You may be tired for a couple different reasons: diet, amount of sleep, and/or lifestyle. Eating healthy can help your body stay awake longer and 8 hours of sleep is recommend. Another thing with sleeping is if you hit your REM style which is the best form of sleep, not sleeping in the right sleep cycle can make you tired as well. Seeing a sleep doctor for a sleep test would be a good idea if nothing else works. The last thing is lifestyle, if you are really active you may need more sleep then the average teenager. The last thing I would recommend is always going to sleep and waking up around the same time. This will teach your body when to sleep and when to be awake. Soon your body will wake up easier and after time just wake up by itself, it’s called an internal clock. – MyMusicAddiction

Its about my joint pain help please!!!?

Question 1
Its about my joint pain help please!!!?…  im a teenage girl and im very athletic. A few years ago i hurt my knees and know when i use them to much they flare up (swell, and hurt really bad) they pop all the time and lately my hips have been sore and popping. All of my joints seem to be popping very easily now are these things related? whats going on with me?

Answers
1)   sounds like you should see a doctor. also smoke some weed for the pain – anonymous

2)   Best advice would be to ask your dr. – jed

3)   Seriously, increase your water intake dramatically, and reduce your sugar drinks, like pop. It takes a few weeks to really help, so be patient. – .

4)   Not sure, but you should see a doctor. Its probably nothing serious, but ignoring it will only make it get worse, that’s what’s happened already it seems.

You might also want to take supplements such as glucosamine chondroitin, which helps with popping joints. But check with a med’ professional first! – ﺕ SB22 ټ

5)   It could be the added stress to your joints are causing a fluid build up. You exhibit signs of bursitis. My husband has the exact same problems, however he sometimes have to get steroid injections in his knees and is on anti-inflammatory meds. – Vanessa Urias

6)   Try RTPR, it’s a pain relief product that’s recommended by health professionals including Sports Medicine Therapists, Chiropractors, Pharmacists and others, or so it says on the label. All I know is that it works, I could barely get around after back surgery last year, but since finding RTPR I have almost full movement back and am still improving.

Plus, they give you free samples, so you can try it for free. At least you’ll know whether or not it works for you. – CarpetFittersMate

Question 2
Shin Splints? Quick question please help!?…  I’ve had pain on my right leg to the left of my shin for about 5 days. I ran about 2 miles this Monday and the pain has worsen. It is now difficult for me to fall asleep, go up stairs, and I’ve been limping around. I have tried Advil, IcyHot, and wrapping a bandage, it hasn’t worked. Should I go see a doctor? Please help. :)

Answers
1)   Try releasing it first by doing this:

Shin splints:

Right leg. Place your right leg on your lap and place both hands side by side on the lower leg, slightly above the ball of your foot. Press in next to the bone with all fingers and tightly hold the pressure there. Relax the rest of your body. After 30 seconds, slowly extend your toes down as far as they go, release the pressure, but continue holding the toes extended for another 30 seconds. Then reverse everything and do the other leg.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B

2)   yes you should definatly see a doctor, I thought I had shin splints once and the pain just kept coming back when I ran and when I went for xray’s it showed that I had a stress fracture on the tibia. get it checked out – rxc123

3)   If you don’t know whats potting, go see a doctor.

I hate going to the doctor too but at the end of it, they know all the shit in the medical field. – Jan

Question 3
sciatica, what can i do?…  hi for my work i do a lot of driving in a company van, well since i have had the van i got now i have been getting sciatica as there is no lumbar support in it. i have bought a separate lumbar support but i think it just made it worse. next i asked my company to change the van. (lease vehicles). they refuse to do so. i went through our companys health and safety channels and this subject just went quiet. what can i do? i need my job, but i only need to drive half hour before it starts up the sciatica again then im in pain all day long. im worried that the sciatica is going to go bad again but my company doesnt seem to care one bit! any advice would be greatly appreciated!
i am 1 of 3 people that has complained out of our department about the vans.

Answers
1)   you may have a lumbar disk out. my chiropractor fixed that for me with a few adjustments. I suggest you check out a chiro, it takes minutes and saves you a lot of pain. i get regular maintenence adjustments and have been pain freee five years now. – Snotalie

2)   this can be a complicated area a sit involves health and safety pus you rae suffering and this should not be the case. go to doctor and get it checked out and notes wil be made on your record of visits etc. it may need later a letter form him to verify you had pain and were seeking treatment etc. if nobody else is having problems it may be found it unreasonable for a Company to have to change any vehicle where no other person has any problems. this may make it impossible for you to continue in that line of work .

here you need to seek proper advise. go to local citizens advise bureau and if you have a union seek there assistance asap.

ares to look at are, your health and ability to do the work required, can they dismiss you? can you get different work within the company? etc. too much Technical an other issues to try and address here but you DO need Professional assistance. – hornchurchmale

3)   You need to stretch some muscles. Most any yoga for back pain book or video will be a great start.

Sciatica nerve pain can be felt from the waist area & run down the length of the leg.

A chiropractor adjustment will help unpinch any nerves.

Sitting for long times shortens the achilles tendon which pulls on the lower back muscles when your leg is extended to stand up. When your back is well enough, strengthening exercises will help keep the spine aligned. Trigger point or acupressure massage will help. Source.. Question 4
Why do my arms ALWAYS fall asleep during my sleep?…  I’ve never had this happen so frequently until lately. It happens EVERY single time I sleep now for the past 3 weeks. I know arms fall asleep if they’re in a position where the circulation is being blocked or something, but my arms could be stick straight on my sides and they will STILL fall asleep. It’s very annoying. And this morning I noticed my leg also was slightly asleep. Should this be something I should worry about? I’ve always suspected that I have very poor circulation. After I take a shower my legs and feet swell and itch like crazy. And when I’m cold, my right index finger gets completely white, numb and cold. Normal or not?

Answers
1)   you should go check it out it don’t seem normal – PPPPPP

2)   Could be a spinal problem. With me it comes from the neck, pinched nerves.I get adjusted ones a month by a chiropractor. – Angie
