my daughters but hole hurts?

Question 1
my daughters but hole hurts?…  she says it bleeds when she goes potty, and there seems to be a cut inside she thinks, it hurts when she ges to the bath room, i got her some hemorrhoids cream but it done nothing but burn. and make her ich more, i also give her fiber, and told her to drink more water every day, this has been going on for months though, she used to have pin worms for years, but lost all that years ago. please help me i have tried everything.

Answers
1)   Have you seen a doctor? – Madison

2)   please take her to a doctor!

i mean its been a month of home falier treatment – Lone Wolf

3)   How old is she and is she constipated? Nobody needs to have pinworms for years now that treatment is available. She probably needs to see a doctor for the bleeding rectum. – Dinky Finklestein

4)   You shouldn’t just give her hemorrhoid cream without knowing for sure it’s that. How is her diet? Kids that don’t eat a lot of fiber have very hard stool and it can last for as long as their not eating grains and leafy vegetables. Get her some prune juice and let her drink a glass a day. That should help. Also, see your pediatrician. – onelove

Question 2
I have constant back pain?…  For weeks my back and down through my legs ive had constant back pain, it almost feels like ive pulled a muscle in my legs but i don’t do any heavy lifting and i work out and go for walks occasionally. I just got married and i am waiting to get on my husbands insurance, i currently have none. Do you think its a pinched nerve? i sometimes get tingly and burning sensations in my upper-mid back, and when i sleep on my sides my hips hurt and ache, im constantly tossing and turning. what do yoiu think?

Answers
1)   It could very well be a pinched sciatic nerve which runs through the back of your leg. Unfortunately, you would need to see a physician to be certain. – Dwayne Slay

2)   You should use Tramadol, it is the best about it you can get information from here http://canmdh17.notlong.com/AA68Rbl – Taina Masuda

3)   As above, a pinched nerve could be the problem. You need pain relief and possibly a nerve relaxant (Lyrica) to get yourself mobile without pain. See a doctor as fast as you can. You could also have a more serious complaint of a herniated disk. Seek help from the professional and dont self diagnose. – nice guy is me

4)   Can’t go to the docs,

Sounds like shingles. The key is the upper-mid back burning tingly inclusion. Sciatica and other terms usually resulting from a pinched nerve in the lower back can be localized or radiated down the side to the front of the upper leg, and even to the feet.

Shingles can be similar in feeling: hot spots, pin pricks, tingling etc. but is not localized like a pinched nerve. Shingles is also very uncomfortable and can bring a person to tears. Docs can prescribe meds and a google search can point to home remedies.

Look up shingles. It is a symptom of chicken pocks. Once you get it, it stays with you forever, and one of the manifestations is cold sores and… shingles among others. Typically there is a rash or redness, but not always.

Further since you are not in front of me I have no way of determining if you have other alerts that could point to other issues. – gottabeartsy

Is popping your neck bad?…  I pop my neck all the time. I turn it too the right and left to make a loud crunching sound that makes everyone in the room chiver. Is that hurting my neck? Will my head just fall off one day?

Answers
1)   I heard it wasn’t but then one day I was watching Dr. Oz. He did say that popping your neck was pretty dangerous. I forgot the show title. But I would look into it more. I try to stop popping my neck. But its hard not to. – Moonitelady

2)   you can wear down the cartilage from doing that, and the body will just grow back more to cover what you break, so yes, you can eventually train your body to grow extra cartilage on your joints, which can lead to big problems when you get older. – Since You Asked

3)   lol ur head isnt gonna fall off. popping ur neck (like ur fingers) is actually healthy. You neck develops air bubbles between the joints and popping ur neck, pops the bubbles. BUT if u do it too much u can stretch the ligaments and stuff like that so keep it to a minumin – Jennifer V

Question 5
Dropped something on my left foot its all swollen and going black and blue it aches when I stand on it.?…  Should I go to the doctors to have it checked out it has been 3 days now and its still acheing?

Answers
1)   Well that’s pretty normal for those things to happen if you dropped something a bit heavy on your foot. It will probably ache for quite a few days, and you’ve bruised it is why it has turned different colors. It’s basically just a aching and bruising of your foot, but if it gets any worse or doesn’t start to go away soon, maybe a doctor trip wouldn’t hurt you. – BHarris

2)   it is probably best to go to the doctors you may have broken bones and are continuing to agrivate by not giving it R.I.C.E. (rest, ice, compression, elevation.) Even if it is not a break the doctor maybe able to give you something for the pain, like perscription ibprofren. – Heather S

3)   How heavy was the thing that fell on your foot? If it was heavy, you could have a sprain of your foot (google Lisfranc sprain). Do you have crutches? Try to not step on that foot until you see a doctor. The fact that it is too painful to step on after 3 days tells me that you got something going on. Yes, get to an orthopedic doctor, preferably a foot and ankle orthopedic doctor.

The swelling and black and blue in normal. Elevate your foot above your heart, that will help. – emilycia

Question 1
I feel pain in my dreams, and it hurts?…  I have a lot of nightmares, every dream i had in the last year has been a nightmare. In most of my dreams i feel the pain of what is happening.

Example: Someone was chasing me and stabed me in the back with a knife. I felt so much pain in my dream, i woke up screaming and crying in pain. The pain stays for only a few seconds after i wake up and then the pain goes away and it feels like nothing ever happened.

this has happened many times before. Gun shot, knife, attacked by an animal or beat up by someone, i feel all of it. AND IM SICK OF IT!

4)   I’ve had that feeling too. I’m not an expert, but here is what I think. The pain could either be an air pocket in your bronchus tubes, or maybe a piece of food lodged in your bronchus tubes. You bronchi are just the tubes that run down from your throat, into your lungs. If it is food and it gets stuck into the lungs, pneumonia might develop. You might want to get an x-ray done on your chest. I would’nt recommend an M.D. though. They are just medical doctors, but they don’t know everything. Go to a specialist, such as a radiologist. They should be able to give you the x-ray and diagnose it.

My side hurts like crazy!?

Question 1
My side hurts like crazy!?…  Preferably doctor or nurses answer, please!!

Okay, well around noon of today my side has killed me! Its right below my belly button, to the right. It hurts sitting, laying down and it really hurts when I’m walking. Is there anything i can do to make it go away? Besides taking medicine?

Thanks for your help!
3 of my cousins, and my dad have had their appendics taken out, so-could my appendics possibly be causin the problem?

Answers
1)   Can you go to the Emergency Room? – crazyskyblue

2)   Thats the side you appendics is on, If it continues you get a fever or vomiting get it checked out – cin_ann_43

3)   That sounds like your appendics, Go to the hospital, or your local doctor, this could be very serious, and is worth getting checked out. Good Luck! – Kinalis

4)   When was your last normal period? You may have a condition called Mittelschmerz, or middle pain, which sometimes occurs with ovulation. It can be mild, or cripplingly bad. Other option, is appendicitis, pain generally is mild at first, around the belly button area, and gradually locating to the lower right quadrant of the belly. Loss of appetite, nausea or even vomiting are common. Either way, you need to see a health care provider because of the risk of appendicitis. If left untreated, it will burst and cause a major infection. Not fun. Better to go and find you didn’t have it, than to delay and end up even sicker. ER time! – deborah

Question 2
I am a 15 year old girl and I am really paranoid when i go to sleep that my heart is beating too slow?…  I took a few tests online to check my heart rate and it was around 48, I am a very active person so I read that that can effect the BPM as well. I just get really scared to go to sleep because I don’t want my heart to stop beating. Am I just paranoid or should i be concerned?

Answers
1)   no not really you heart rate slows down when you rest your whole body relaxes – Britney

2)   its probably all in your head because i sometimes think the same thing just dont overreact because that could stress you out and your body out as well so if i was you just dont think about it and just kick back watch a funny tv show and eat some ice cream lol – Taylor Curtis

3)   You have nothing to worry about. That is a good resting heart rate. It sounds though like you have a mild form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The fact that you obsess over your heart stopping as you sleep may be an indicator of such.

Don’t worry though! You’re fine – cruise20

4)   I doubt that your heart will stop while you are asleep in the absence of any other conditions. Normal heart rate runs 60-100 BPM. Athletes, particularly runners, long distance skiers, etc. may run heart rates in the 40’s and be fine. If you are this concerned, see a health care provider who can accurately gauge your heart rate, listen for any abnormalities, and hopefully set you mind at ease. Good Luck. – deborah

You will need antibiotocs and possibly eardrops. If your eardrum is ruptured, pcik up on some silly putty on the way home. Use it for ear plugs when you are showering, no swimming for 6-8 weeks until the eardrum heals. Good Luck. – deborah

Question 4
Lower right stomach pain?…  Ahhh…

Yesterday as I was getting out of my car…I had this sudden really sharp pain in my lower right side.

It went away as soon as I got back into my car…It scared me…

And still does scare me!

Before it happened(for the past…week or so before)…I wasnt wanting to eat as much…I was more thirsty than anything.

And since its happened Im actually hungry…

Also since it has happened Ive had smaller sharp pains sometimes and my stomach likes to make lots of sounds after I eat now…

I first thought my appendix.

But my dad thought maybe…"Caught gas" or something.

I dunno…I hate doctors but if this gets worse Im going for sure.

Just wanted to get some info…Im scared.

Answers
1)   As you were bending to get out of your car you pinched a muscle in your back and that is what caused the pain to shoot the way it did. When you tried to straighten up it pinched even more and that is what scared you. You can release your back muscles to get rid of the pain by doing this:

Back:

(do from a sitting position)

Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B

If you can;t fall asleep, get up and do something until you feel ready to try again. No naps. No caffeine or tea after about 3pm (or at all would be even better.) Keep your room very dark-not radio clock, no computer screen no nightlights, no outside lights. Also your room needs to be coo. Ideally about 68 degrees, but in summer that is hard to come by. Comfortable sleep clothes- no binding, no pulling, cool. Maybe run a small fan to make white noise to block out any other sound. Question 2
Is my neck broken or sprained?…  Today I was swimming and I got pushed in and landed on my head really hard. I blacked out for a like a second then swam up to the top and my neck hurts bad. If I move my head side to side it hurts somewhat, but if I tilt my head back it is painful. Is it going to be okay, or do I need to see a doctor?
Sorry about the broken neck thing my mom put that into my head.

Answers
1)   Your neck is not broken. If your neck were broken, you would not be moving at all. You could possibly not even be living.

However, it is likely you did receive some sort of injury, which could be a sprain or a bruise or possibly something more serious. However, if you blacked out you should go to see a doctor as head and neck injuries can be very serious, even if they don’t SEEM that serious. – Belie

2)   maybe a STRAIN. there is a difference (if you didn’t know) by the way: last time i checked when you break your neck you die. or you won’t be able to move. witch would probably cause you to drown. so yeah.. – Tommy Draper

3)   The general rule of thumb is that if it were broken you would not be able to bear weight or pressure on it, and you would be completely unwilling to move it due to intense pain. However, that doesn’t mean you haven’t injured your neck or spine. You may have jarred the vertebra in your neck. Could just be a little soreness, could be something like a slipped disc. With any neck injury where you know the cause is physical trauma it’s best not to dink around and hope it goes away. I’d get it looked at. – Jasmer

4)   Sounds like you need to see a doctor and checked for possible concussion and for neck injury asap. Some people hit their head and feel fine and later go into a coma. Check your pupils make sure they are equal "both the same size" shine a flashlight and check both pupils and make sure they both constrict equally. Do go see your doctor this is nothing to play around with. Billy Mayes hit his head and died later. Not trying to scare you, just do not take a head hit lightly. Better to be safe than sorry. – oysterstew

Question 3
Why am I hurting in my back?…  I feel like I am having period cramps, but no period. I am almost 2 months late. Not sexually active at all. I just got off my birth control thinking everything was normal, and I think this is why I’m late.

My body may not be use to it, but major cramping in my right lower back. Or just lower back… what is going on?

Answers
1)   Honey I don’t think any response here is going to resolve your issue.

Have you considered going to a doctor so they can take tests to find out what’s going on with your symptoms? If not, I urge you make that move.

Good luck – Mr.SouthMetroAtl

2)   The cramping you are feeling in your lower back is pinched muscles in your back. When you pinch muscles in your back they can easily press against the nerves going to the other organs of the body. When those nerves have pressure on them they sooner or later make the organ itself have some kind of pain or problem, and I think that is why you can be having period cramps and even two months late or it can be a part of the problem. To get rid of this problem you have to release the muscles in your back and you can do that by using this:

For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling, then remain this relaxed. – Douglas B

this my be a stupid question but im up for ideas. My left ankle is swollen, i can press my finger on the side?…  and it leave a dent. Now my right one is fine. I would like to hear any honest answers. thanks

Answers
1)   You have pitting edema probable cause an injury. Advice stay off your ankle a week and try taking some Aleive for a few days. If this doesn’t work see your doctor. – oysterstew

2)   Yes, this fits the definition of pitting edema, which can be a sign of serious problem, or nothing to worry about. Also, you could have swelling of the joint, arthritis, or swelling due to an injury. Does it hurt? Have you gained a lot of weight in the past few days? If your answer to these is both NO, then I would expect it to clear up in the next few days. You could try elevating the ankle above your heart. If your answer to either of these questions is YES, or it doesn’t resolve soon, I think you should get this checked out. – Emily

what is it exactly ? isn’t he supposed to see a doctor ?…  we were about to play a soccer game , when one of our friends told us that he can’t play because something is wrong with his big toe , when he showed us , it was like really swollen , and the tissue was like cut badly because of the growth of white flesh or white skin under it in the shape of circles "that white thing was the cause of the swelling".

we asked him how that happened ? , and he said that he cut the skin by mistake using a scissors !!, is that true ? can a simple cut do that ?, what happened exactly? , isn’t he supposed to see a doctor or what?
no , it is under the big toe , the skin is cut " almost gone" , but instead of flesh , there is this white swelling thing , it is really creepy
he can’t play soccer , he didn’t , :(

I cannot poo and it really hurts?

Question 1
I cannot poo and it really hurts?…  My stomach is really swollen and I haven’t been able to go to the toilet for well over a week now.

My bum hole is even more swollen than my stomach… and I’m in so much pain!

It started out just me feeling a little groggy but now it hurts to sit down, move about… it pretty much hurts to do anything.

I’m in the middle of my exam period and I don’t want to feel like this (especially during such an important time)

It’s really embarrassing to talk to my family about this so I’m asking for your advise.

Is this possibly piles? – I know there are some of my family members who have it, but I just don’t want to ask them.

There is also (I know I sound silly please don’t make fun of me if this isn’t the reason) a history of cancer in my family. My granddad had bowel cancer. So, I’m sitting here thinking the worst possible answer. Someone please put my mind at ease. Please.

1)   go to your doctor, in the meantime, more fibre in diet – Zen

2)   You are in desperate need of a doctor and some laxatives. Stop eating fiber asap. – Nutritiona

3)   You are constipated. Buy a laxative and take as directed. Drink more water and get more fiber in your diet. Those will help in the future to prevent constipation. – peanut

4)   Take a laxative, hydrate yourself better, and go to the doctor if it worsens. – eva<3

5)   A week is too long. You need proper medical advice from someone like NHS Direct [1] if you won’t visit the family’s doc.

Not talking about the problem doesn’t make it go away. You need to overcome your embarrassment – health care professionals are just that – professional, so they won’t laugh or make fun of you, despite what you might have seen on TV dramas. – Phillip B

7)   When my son was very young the doctor suggested these remedies for the same problem. The doctor suggested that I feed him some WHOLE KERNEL CORN. Another thing the doctor suggested is to have him eat POPCORN. and last but not least, it to take CASTOR OIL. The reason these things are good for you is that they add some bulk to your diet and then the stomach can digest the contents better.

I hope that is is of some help and that you feel better soon. If all else fails get a laxative and take it, or even a stool softener and try that. If these do not work, then by all means go to the doctors office and let him/ her help you. – Su-Nami

8)   ask your pharmacist for something to soften your stool and help you to go to the bathroom. they get this question a lot. also drink a lot of water to help keep future stools soft. i doubt that you bowel cancer so please put your mind at ease on that. eat lots of food that have lots of fiber in it and stay away from junk foods. it is also possible that you might have hemorrhoids. they can really hurt and itch like the devil. they can be easily removed with no pain. – christina c

9)   Go to Emergency Department urgently. 1 week is a really long time and if it hurts, you can have bowels obstruction and it is really life threatening. I work in public hospital and believe me, many people come with this problem and it taken very seriously. First things they will do is X-ray to check for obstruction. Just tell them you are in lot of pain (it is better to overemphasize pain then to do opposite).

May be it is just simple constipation, but they will help. It is not pleasant, but it is very common problem and they do it every day. Tell to your family, are they so bad? Ok, you can tell your family you have an abdominal pain, which you can not tolerate anymore. You don’t have to tell them about constipation. When doctor will examine you, they will be not there, doctor will ask them to leave. But you have to tell to the doctor. – Yes!

Give yourself a 10 minute de-stress every couple of hours with fresh air if possible.

a headache is usually to much oxygen, try breathing in a paper bag.

——————————————————————————–

gatorade – it really works

——————————————————————————–

lie down in a dark room and put a damp cold face cloth up on your forhead this does work for some people

——————————————————————————–

if it is really bad you could put some heat on it to make it go away. also getting off the computer and not watching TV and just lieing down may help.

——————————————————————————–

9 out of 10 headaches are caused by deydration – make sure you are sipping water regularly (it makes you pee a lot at first!) and take breaks in the fresh air, particularly if you are looking at computer screens or reading for long periods.

——————————————————————————–

Sometimes headaches are caused by dehydration so my advice is to drink plenty of water. Then open a window, turn all the lights off and sit in a dark room and breathe the fresh air. Sometimes a nice head or neck massage can help to relieve the symptoms.

sex or chocolate, if they do not work as least you have enjoyed trying

——————————————————————————–

You can stick your feet in freezing (very cold )water for no longer than one minute. it helps for headaches but not always for migranes.

——————————————————————————–

Depends how high a pain threshold you have, try laying down for a while with your eyes closed, sleep if you can. I don’t like taking tablets and will do only as a last resort if it doesn’t go away after a few hours or if I go to bed with a headache and awake with one I’ll take something, but generally I either just try and ignore it and see if it goes by itself or I try laying with my eyes closed or have a nap. – Jim

3)   the best way is probably to get enough sleep, drink (as you mentioned) and try and get lots of fresh air sit down outside on a bench in your back garden is don’t watch t.v or play computer games as these will worsen the headache

hope i helped – Eddie

4)   I take naps and that gets ride of them.

PS. You’re 13 and you drink? You mean alcohol? – Lucy

5)   I’m sorry you have a headache :(

I always start by figuring out what kind of headache it is. It’s either a sins headache or a migraine for me. Easiest way to distinguish between the two is to bend over and touch your toes. If your head starts throbbing worse, it’s a sinus headache. If not, it’s just a headache or a migraine.

If it’s a sinus headache, I usually get in the tub and take a nice steamy bath and put a cool washrag over my eyes. Drink lots of water and relax.

If it’s a migraine, I close the curtains, take a motrin and try to lay down. Make sure it’s not bright, and not too loud inside and try to rest. A cool damp washrag helps too.

Keep in mind, this is what helps me. It’s never a 100% thing, but it makes my head hurt worse.

The number one thing to do is stop drinking soda or caffeine. That’ll just make it worse by restricting the blood flow in your head. – Blakelyn

7)   DRINKING WHAT? at 13 i hope that you are not drinking alcohol. if you are then i have no pity for you

having a headache. oversleeping is a known cause of headaches. 13 is a little early for migraines but not unheard of. you might need to see a neurologist to see if maybe you have migraines and oversleeping/not getting enough sleep and drinking might not be bringing one on. there are medicines to help with migraines. if you are drinking alcohol and you mother knows this then SHAME on her. hope you feel better soon. – christina c

Last night for no reason, my left wrist started hurting. It hurts bad when I try to pick anything up?

Question 1
Last night for no reason, my left wrist started hurting. It hurts bad when I try to pick anything up?…  I did not injure my wrist in any way. It just started aching a little last night. This morning it is very sore and I cannot grip anything. I am typing with it now and it hurts a little, but when I move my hand to the left it is very painful.

Answers
1)   u probably just twisted it happens to everyone – Ahmed A

2)   If you’ve ever broken the bone, then bad weather could cause the bone to hurt and ache. Happens to me all the time. – Eclipse

3)   This may sound strange, but you may have only stressed your wrist. I went to the doctor with the same symptoms, and the only strenuous wrist activity I had done that day was straighten my hair. He told me that I had overworked my wrist.

Buy a wrist brace, and wear it for a couple of days (sleep in it as well). The brace is rather uncomfortable, but it will keep you from using/bending your wrist.

If it’s not better after a couple of days of wearing the brace, you should see your doctor. – roysecity_chick

4)   The pain is caused by the wrist itself, by having a tendon or ligaments tighten up on you pulling the bones together. You can buy a brace for it and hope that the immobilization you give it finally works or you can release the tendons/ligaments and get relief right now. Here is how to release your wrist to get rid of this pain:

Wrist:

With hand resting in front of you and your wrist bent half way closed, press down hard slightly behind the wrist and hold that pressure. After 30 seconds slowly open your wrist up as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your wrist open for another 30 seconds. – Douglas B

5)   The obvious reason for carpel tunnel and weak muscles is magnesium deficiency. There are different kinds of magnesium and I take one with magnesium malate in it.

The unobvious reason for this kind of problem is our diets. We eat too much sugar, coffee, processed foods and our bodies are always bombarded with free radicals from just processing our foods. But when we eat wrong foods and are around a lot of toxins (in the air, water, foods, chemicals) we even have more free radicals. Free radicals cause oxidative stress and oxidative stress is responsible for our cells not being able to receive all the nutrients we need including minerals and trace minerals. When we become deficient, we become sick.

Getting oxidative stress off of our cells is the key to being healthy from the inside out.

Hope this helps. – Sans

Question 2
my ear is bleeding please help?…  Hi,

I just woke up and had a shower, after the shower, I stick a Qtip in my left ear and found a blotch of blood on it, it looks as if it’s from the side walls of the ear canal and not the bottom, could you tell me what it is and if I should go to a doctor??

Answers
1)   well its nothing but go see a doc ….its better to kill some dolars than your ear….. – Solid

2)   Probably just a pimple. I wouldn’t worry about it unless your hearing is impaired or you have other symptoms, like pain. – BlackSunshine84

3)   its nothing to worry about, you might just have a little cut in your ear somewhere. but if you think its serious than just a little cut, then go to the doctors. – Sweet

4)   That’s why they say don’t put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear. That said, (i use cue tips too) perhaps you were a little too aggressive with the cue tip, perhaps you weren’t paying attention enough, rushing to get dressed. Poked you tympanic membrane and started a bleed, may have dislodged a sucking parasite that had crawled into your ear, or disturbed a pimple. A blotch of blood on a cue-tip wouldn’t concern me much unless it continues. Check to make sure no parasite has taken up residence there. – Terry

Question 3
Wife’s mystery diagnoses and pain killer use is draining and things are not getting better. Should I leave?…  My wife and I have been married for 6 years this last February. She was of sound health when we married and her depression was under control. I’ve been diagnosed with a schizo effective disorder and used to be medicated for it but have been off meds going on 6 years now. I am stable but have an evolved anger problem. We both don’t work. We have a son turning 5 next month and he has been diagnosed with CAH. Going on 4 years now my wife has developed a backpain problem that is continually getting worse. She takes MS-Contin, Diladid, and Muscle Relaxers. We moved away from family to get a bit closer to doctors. I’m having a hard time getting along with my son these days. My wife is usually behind a closed door that our son cannot open it without assistance. He will be with me for most of the duration of the day until we have at each other and he’s let into the the bedroom where we both get temporary relief from one another. I get called back in shortly after to remove him so she can go back to sleep.

I’ve had to be the bad guy in all the disciplining of our son. Ive had to be the one that’s had to drag him out of the bedroom the past 2 years because she can’t have him in there.

I’ve been having a hard time coping lately. I either wake up to my wife calling my name above my head saying I need to go lay down in the morning or my son terrorizing the Apt. There really is no "family" time. I’ve started to develop somewhat of a hatred towards my wife that has begun to rub off on my child. I don’t hate either of them but I feel a fire every day because I know it will be a repeat from the day prior. I feel regrets for ever getting into this mess. I never had aggressive or anger in me before we met and over the past couple of years it feels as if I were put in a corner.

My son is becoming unmanageable. I don’t beat him but he gets three from time to time. He doesn’t like it and either do I. I could probably use the help of someone to talk to but I honestly don’t think that will change what’s happening here in our home. I’d like to leave. My mother could assist me until I get into a routine with my son. I could use a much needed break. I left about a month ago for a week. It was the first time break I’ve gotten since my son was born. I came back to an utter disaster in the apartment and the same kitty litter on the floor that was thrown at me by our son when I left and the same scenario is here still.

Am I an enabler. I don’t see health issues getting better. back pains just the worst of it. She always has something else wrong with her too whether it be migraines or hip pain or whatever. I’m LDS not that that makes a difference. I haven’t really wanted to even go. The life seems to get sucked right out of me within a day and I look at my situation and ask myself what’s it all for. I have no real motivation from her to even want to continue this. This is all in a nutshell. To me it is worst case scenario. I wake up angry because I’m still dealing with the day before. I know anger is not a valid excuse for divorce but I honestly don’t think it’s the fuse to all of this.

Can anyone give criticism that could be helpful? Thank you.

Answers
1)   Im sorry for everything your going through. i would suggest you talk to her. May not be fun but should be done. If it isn’t healthy for you two to be together esp with your child then you separate. I have a 5 year old and he is omg a little firecracker some times he is the cutest little angel some moments he is the spawn from satan and i always have to be the bad guy… im a single parent… i think asking for help from family is what you need give you a break for a bit to just do whatever u want to breath. I dont know about finances but maybe putting him in daycare or k4 would help =D alot of time when no one works they dont have a schedule and structure.I also suggest a support group for single parents. I know you are married but it seems you feel like a single parent but its a good place to vent and get good advice from people that can relate. – Bittersweetlife

2)   Sometimes the best thing to do is talk about it with a neutral party. In my opinion, you should not be asking complete strangers whether you should leave your wife or not. You made a commitment till death do you part, for better or worse. You should do everything in your power to make your marriage and family work.

The neutral party you should seek is a family counselor, or a marriage counselor. Counselors can help you and your wife understand what each other are going through, and help you save your family. – roysecity_chick

3)   All your symptoms, the depression, muscle pains, are signs of magnesium deficiency. It may not be all the problem but it sounds like the major problem.

You need different magnesiums because they do different things. I would take a magnesium that has at least 3 different kinds in it. Malate is one that I would look into. You need to be taking magnesium and your wife and your son. Your wife may need to take some in the morning and during the day. You need to take some at least in the morning and at night and possibly during the day. When your muscles start hurting, take more. You will need much more than what is recommended on the bottle.

All minerals are important so you all may need to take the major minerals plus trace minerals.

Check out oxidative stress as well. Really. Oxidative stress is the cause for over 300 diseases. When you get that under control then your body can actually absorb more nutrients and minerals and with this stress off of your cells, your body can heal. I’m going to give you some sights to look up. Look them all up and get a better understanding of why you are having these problems. Get all of you healthy and you will have your family back. – Sans

4)   One thing you should be doing is getting your wife better so she can become a part of the family again. And it is possible to get rid of those pains she is having, I have been through it myself and finally found how to do it. The muscles are pinched and that is what is giving her the pain and she will continue to be in pain as long as the muscles aren’t released. Here is how to release the muscles in her back and neck, the two main places you mentioned:

Neck

Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your head. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. After 45 seconds, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.

With your neck in the lowered position, replace your thumbs in under the ears and your fingers behind your head but right next to your skull this time. Press your fingers and thumbs together again and hold. Relax your body while waiting. When the muscles have all released, slowly lift your head until it’s level again, release the pressure but hold your head like that for another 30 seconds.

Back:

(do from a sitting position)

Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side – Douglas B

Question 4
I have TMJ, my jaw seems to hurt worse after exercising. Has anyone felt the same? Why is this?…  Is this common? What can I do to ease the pain?

Some days I can barely open my jaw, maybe I’m clenching my teeth while exercising making my TMJ worse?

Answers
1)   Yes, my jaw pain is while i’m exercising….mainly went i ride a bike up the hill…had to do it every day for 5 years to go to school! Not really sure why, maybe i clenched my jaw unknowingly? yeah well i don’t like riding up hills lol – ƦєdAиgєℓ

2)   I think most of our American women are magnesium deficient and that causes so many symptoms. That could be a reason for your TMJ and also if your feet turn inward, that gets your skeletal system off and can end up with the pain in your jaw with TMJ. That is what happened to me and I have to wear orthodics.

And, both of these might add to the problem. Check out the sources.

Hope this helps.

"There are number of conditions that have been linked to magnesium deficiencies and have also been found to be more common among women. These conditions include:

TMJ (90% of those seeking treatment are women in their child bearing years)" (See source below) – Sans

3)   The clenching would make it worse, yes. But you don’t have to be in pain from this at all in the first place. The muscles in the back of your jaw have tightened up and need to be released to get rid of the pain. Here is how to rid yourself of the TMJ syndrome:

Jaw muscles, TMJ:

Put your fingers on your head so your thumbs are behind your ears. Press into the back of your jaw next to the skull and hold that pressure. After 30 seconds slowly raise your head until your neck is fully extended then open your mouth as far as you can. Release the pressure but hold your head and mouth like that for another 30 seconds. – Douglas B

I fell on my wrist while ice-skating yesterday, everything i do with my hand hurts, what is wrong with it?

Question 1
I fell on my wrist while ice-skating yesterday, everything i do with my hand hurts, what is wrong with it?…  when i swivel my wrist it hurts in the tendons and in the joint. also, i can’t out any weight on it. I also can’t play the piano without pain.

Answers
1)   Ice it and go to the doc if it hurts that bad – Bob

2)   um. first you should go the damn hospital.

and you probably sprained it or broke it…-_-;; – Maria

3)   It might be broken. Put ice on it and go to the emergency. Good luck :)

4)   You may have fractured or sprained your hand. Please see a doctor or go to the hospital. They may put a splint (a temporary cast) on your hand. Try not to move your hand. – Simple Minded

5)   At the best case, you may have some bruising in/around your wrist or on the muscles. At the worst case, you could have cartilage damage or you could have fractures on the small bones in the wrist. To fully determine the extent of your injury you should seek medical attention. – tchicken13

6)   You jammed it and have a slight sprain in it which means the tendons tightened up on you and are making the muscle shorter than it should be and icing it will try to shorten it some more and end up being more painful in the end. You can release your sprained muscle in your wrist and the pain and swelling should go as soon as you are done with that. Here is how to release it:

Wrist:

With hand resting in front of you and your wrist bent half way closed, press down hard slightly behind the wrist and hold that pressure. After 30 seconds slowly open your wrist up as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your wrist open for another 30 seconds. – Douglas B

7)   Could be a sprain or a hair line fracture. Soak in warm water with Epsom’s mineral salts. It may take 4-5 days to get back to normal. Take it easy on that hand a few days. If it takes longer consult a doctor about it. – Hodmimir Woods

8)   You are going to have to give it time to heal. Be patient. The body is good to heal if we give it a chance. – Sans

Question 2
Is my appendix about to burst or in bad condition?…  My lower right stomach has been hurting recently. I have not been feeling well with some minor head aches. My lower back hurts too but i believe that is from hockey. Please respond!

Answers
1)   No way to tell from your description. Appendicitis is extremely painful. I mean horribly so. It hurts bad, you puke, you have a fever and it hurts when you press your stomach. If you don’t have these symptoms, dont’ fret. – SethSpeaks

2)   Not necessarily but definitely worth getting checked out. If it is your appendix it will not go away on it’s own. It will gradually get worse and worse to the point that you can barely walk. Go to the doctor or at very least give your doctor or nurse line a call. – jayden11805

3)   If the pain is from your appendix, and you need surgery, you won’t have time to clean out your internal organs. If it is not your appendix, you should have time to clean them out. The best way is to clean out the oxidative stress on your cells. Free radicals cause oxidative stress and oxidative stress causes over 300 diseases and sicknesses. If your appendix is inflammed, then you need to get your oxidative stress under control. There is lots of studies on how to do this. – Sans

4)   ok bro, this is brutal, i know you were planning to wait til you were 40 or 50 or 60 before the DR pulled the latex glove on and asked to lay on you side and relax while the DR explores an exit only orafice.

so if you have a really cool wife, have her check you out- the already excrutiating pain will intensify greatly when she pushes out to one side ( don t remember which one- she will have to push out all the way around )

usually if you can walk normally, you probably did not burst the appendix

with the lower back pain and the stomach aches it sound like you are a little full, ease up on the red meat and try to flush your system, like a 2 stroke engine needs oil in the fuel, you need some vegetables to process that meat.

are you keeping yourself properly hydrated- water and lemonade

if this continues go see the DR – joeman

2)   I’ve been hearing a lot of friends and co-workers complain of stiff neck and lower back pain. This is allergy season so this may be the reason. I had a stiff neck for 2 days then it was gone. A friend’s lasted for 3 weeks.

Also look up chem trails.

Oxidative stress is the cause for pain and inflammation as well as allergies. – Sans

3)   Your headache and the problem of not being able to turn your neck are both caused by the same problem, tight muscles in your neck. Once they are released the headache will be gone and you will be able to turn your head as well. Here is how to release your neck muscles:

– Douglas B

Question 4
Ripping pain in area around right ovary or appendix when coughing?…  I’ve had a cold for about 2 weeks now and about a week ago, at night, I would fell a ripping pain in my right ovary (I think) when I coughed. It worsened as I coughed more. This would happen almost every night. Then today when I woke up coughing the pain was there again but it started off strong and when I tried to get up it was still hurting. It also now hurts when I walk, move, cough, sneeze, etc. The pain is quite severe but definitely bare able, and is next to my right hip bone. Does anyone know if this is my appendix or ovary and what is causing it?

Answers
1)   Well I am a male and have had my appendix taken out.

If it is the case that your appendix is inflamed then you would be puking up everything you eat and the pain wouldn’t be bearable…Like I said I am a male I’m not quite sure about the ovaries.. – Chris

2)   Could be an ovarian cyst…go to your doc and he/she will send you for a sonogram. Best to get it checked out because it could be a problem if it is a cyst and it ruptures. It could also be your appendix since that is on the right side. Don’t take any chances and see your doc asap. – Ann E

3)   When we are in bed and cough or sneeze we are likely to get a muscle pinched in our backs and those muscles can either be transferring pain around the body or it can be the pain itself. When pinched in the back it can make it harder to walk because when you stand up all the weight is on the area that is pinched. Here is how you can release those muscles which would cause the problems:

Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. – Douglas B

Question 5
Why does my side hurt?…  The area above my right hip bone is really sore and sensitive. It feels like there are dulled stabbing pains inside and they just spread lower. It’s not near the navel, but it’s more toward the side of my body and I have this icy feeling spreading around the area. I thought of appendicitis, but the symptoms for that are worse, like nausea and fever, both of which I don’t have, so I’m not sure what’s wrong with me. Please help!

1)   I wonder if it is a kidney problem. Please see a doctor soon. – Simple Minded

2)   Are you a female? Do you eat soy? If so stop eating it and it should clear up in about a week. Soy has a lot of natural estrogen and when our cells are overloaded with estrogen the ovaries will hurt. Only gets worse. It takes about a week to clear out the estrogen after stopping the soy.

This happened to me and my right side hurt for 4 months and it spread to my left side as well. Not quite as bad as appendicitis but hurt just the same.

I wish you would have given more information. – Sans

3)   Go to the doc that sounds serious. – Bob

4)   i had appendicitis with NO fever, NO nausea, and a NORMAL white blood cell count. they found it with UltraSound. if you’ve had the pain for a while now, you should probably go to emergency. best wishes. – moomie

Question 2
One of my ears has been hurting today. Could anything be wrong?…  My brother complained about ear pain 2 days ago BTW. Today I woke up fine, but then I picked up something from the floor and when I was all up I felt a really weird pain in the top of my head and took a little to go away. Then everything was fine until my right ear started hurting, but like in the inside, and then the right side of my head was all hurting. The pain wouldn’t stay, it would go away and then come back. It has been like that the whole day. First the inside of the ear hurts and then goes away but the entire right side of the head starts hurting. Like rinse and repeat. It’s kinda annoying to be honest.

I’ve always been healthy so that’s why I’m a little freaked out. And my brother complaining about ear pain too makes me feel weird. He’s 19 and I’m 21. Can there be any virus or something? I don’t know anything about this.

my toe that had an ingrown toenail (might still have one) hurts on the side. what do i do?

Question 1
my toe that had an ingrown toenail (might still have one) hurts on the side. what do i do?…  I had an ingrown toenail on my left big toe. it was kind of red and it hurt. using a bunch of different utensils i managed to find the shard and cut it out. the 2 weeks following that my toe felt much better, though it hurt slightly. Starting yesterday, my toe started hurting again on the same side as the original ingrown part, but when i checked my toenail, it wasn’t inside my toe at all. will u die instantly if someone breaks ur neck?…  from that new show Nietta or something like that. just wondering. Not actually going to to it to someone :)

2)   You can yes, but there are some people who have there necks broken and live, they just end up paralized. There are lucky people who have broken there necks and actually recoverd fully. – Candymancan21

3)   Yes, it is possible, but I know of racecar drivers that have broken their neck and gone on to live a normal, healthy life. In a couple of instances, they have also gone back to racing.

It depends entirely on how the neck is broken, where the break is and how it is initially treated. – Dirty Sanchez

4)   It depends on what damage is incurred by the spinal cord. In the army, one of the hand to hand moves taught is a "sentry takedown"(atleast when I was in basic). Not only is the neck snapped but also it is elongated and the spinal cord is severely "disrupted". It spells instant death for the hapless sob on the receiving end of it. But in all fairness, the move, if done improperly, can also spell disaster for the person performing it, leaving both parties dead or severely injured.

It’s definately a "don’t try this at home" type move. – teafortwo

does love hurts or kill?…  cause i feel like is taking my heart out

Answers
1)   I think it kills.. Who needs love all the love I have is from my friends and family :)Ciara D

2)   It usually hurts a lot if you’re an adult, but it can kill if you’re still a teen…

It can also kill if the person you love has a knife and you accidentally fall on top of it. – Joana

3)   The feeling of "love" hurting is thought to be a physical response to a mental state and hormones caused by the brain. Medically, the heart has nothing at all to do with the love emotion but hormones can sometimes make us feel a pain or tightness in the chest area.

There has never actually been a recorded case of a person dying because of love, a relationship ending or unrequited love. However, in few cases it’s believe that people have committed suicide over lost love.

I believe that life is full of lessons we need to learn, so whatever is causing you pain of anguish today – will make you stronger and more prepared for the lessons that come next. Until you learn these lessons the hard way, you will never reach your potential for happiness, love, fulfillment and pleasure. Don’t waste time feeling miserable and sorry for yourself if something special ends, instead examine how YOU could’ve handled the same situation better and move on to something else. – Dave F

my backs hurts when i sleep flat on it ? why?

Question 1
my backs hurts when i sleep flat on it ? why?…  i go to sleep and i always sleep on my sides but lately i just wake up laying flat on my back and my back kills me im only 17 and i need answers plz=]

Answers
1)   17 is a tender age, it’s just old age creepy up on you my dear. Best look around for your care home now hun – Ψ it’s a demigod Ϟ

2)   Most likely its something wrong with your bed. But for know just sleep on your side until you get some answers. – swordfish

3)   my back hurts when i sleep flat on it and i always assumed it was due to the fact that i have big boobs and i keep my back in a certain position all day to support the weight, so when i lay flat, i force my back into a position it isn’t used to. – Leila__em

4)   Maybe it’s unrelated to sleeping, maybe you’re developing something that affects your back. If it lasts, get it checked out!

If you work out or lift stuff, make sure you’re doing it right ’cause doing it wrong can make your back hurt. Also maybe you need to sit better when you’re at the computer

If worse comes to worse, you can buy this belt thing you fasten around your waist before you go to sleep. It’ll force you to roll back onto your side if you happen to roll onto your back during the night. And it won’t wake you up!

I saw it on a TV offer – Unlucky Guy

5)   Big boobs causing back pain? I don’t think so, too many of them look pretty bushy tailed and bright eyed to me to be having that problem.

You have a pinched muscle in your back. When you sleep on your side you probably curl up some so it opens the space up between the vertebrae which gives it room so the pressure is off. When you lay on your back it is pinching it tight and you feel the pain. Here is how you can release your back muscles to get rid of this pain:

Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. – Douglas B

6)   See your health care provider as soon as possible (orthopedic). Low back pain usually involves spasm of the large supportive muscle alongside the spine. Any injury to the back may produce such spasms. Pain–often severe–and stiffness result. The onset of pain may be immediate or may occur some hours after exertion or injury. Often the cause isn’t clear.

Heat applied to the affected area will provide some relief. You may take acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen as long as you feel significant pain. If significant pain persists beyond a week, call the doctor.

I hope this helps you. And good luck. – imsety

Question 2
My legs are sore when I run.. and days after?…  I hate hate hate stretching before i run, but I always stretch after..

that might be the problem.. but ive been running for a month now.. maybe im running too much.. but i gradually worked up my distance, and just 2 years ago i was in great shape… im only 20.. and thats when i got a full time job two years ago and just didnt play sports anymore. so i took up running again, and its painful.

any methods or suggestions?
the pain is more my shins and muscle in the lower leg.. also the muscles around the knee cap.. I have heard that women have bad knee’s. But I always used to run down dirt roads, and now I live in town and run on pavement, and I guess that could be something to do with it, since it;s no good for running.

2)   if you,re not doing it; warm up. slow down a bit on your run. you,re gonna pull a muscle. then you,ll quit. i always warm up for any exercise. – David

3)   Why would you stretch after the damage is done? sorry, that just doesn’t make any sense. On the other hand I don’t think it’s about the stretching here anyway. Pain is coming from the muscles and has to be released and I don’t know of any stretch that can do that. I take it the pain has to be in the thigh area so here is how to release that muscle:

While sitting and feet flat on the floor, wrap both hands around one of your thighs and apply a good amount of pressure and hold it there. Now relax the rest of your body except for your hands. After one minute slowly slide that leg forward until the leg is fully extended, release the pressure but continue holding the leg extended for another 30 seconds. Then do the other leg. – Douglas B

4)   Your legs are sore because there not used to the exercise anymore. The pain is natural and if you keep exercising it will go away eventually. If you want something to help with the pain try tiger balm, or Ben gay. – swordfish

5)   You didn’t say what part of your legs hurt, so I’m guessing here.

It could be a lactic acid, which is a result of exercise. You may need to stretch more or walk slowly for a few minutes at the end of your run to help flush it from your muscles.

Or it could be a reaction to the stretching, and if so you need to stretch more often, even if you aren’t running.

Again, it would help to know what part of your legs are hurting, which muscles, joints or shins. – randyrayd
